Though I could have gone for some vague warnings as well. Not that they've ever been substantial enough to be of any use.

It'd be nice if they'd actually give us very clear warnings about what's going to happen. I suppose it's possible they don't know, but do they always have to be so cagey about it?

ngl, in retrospec, i think Jim gave us the closest thing to clear warnings we've ever had. even if he was always a condescending dick about it.

Now that you mention it, that is true, isn't it? I wouldn't go so far as to say I miss Jim, but it was entertaining to watch people get so upset by his posts... The (slightly) clearer warnings were certainly more appreciated than what we've been getting lately, anyway.

If only Jim had had Joanne or Zee's personality. Then we might actually get useful information out of Retrospec.

I still hate Jim, for the record. He's an ass.

I do have to wonder why we're no longer dealing with him... Not that it really matters, I suppose, but I can't help but be a little curious.

My guess, his personality left us less inclined to help Retrospec when they need manpower. He was pretty much the face of the company to use for quite a while.

That's very true, I'm sure most people weren't all that interested in helping Jim. Out of sight, out of mind, right? Still, if they really want us to help, they should be more open with information and what they do know.

So far it seems like Zee has been relatively open with us, at least with the information he has access to. So that's something of an improvement. But since he's more HR than R&D he doesn't seem to be able to shed much light on the more technical aspects.

I'll admit I haven't talked to him yet, but that's very good to hear. I'm not surprised they'd put someone who doesn't know much out there for us to talk to, though. It seems they're very determined to keep things a secret from us.

I'm honestly not sure why they're so determined to keep things from us. If they really want us to help, wouldn't it be smarter to be open with us?

But I suppose trying to make sense of what Retrospec does isn't going to get me anywhere.

You'd think that, wouldn't you? Maybe they think it's like trying to explain calculus to a preschooler. Or maybe it has to do with how many layers we can see. Either way, they could at least tell us WHY.

I suppose that's fair. If it is that complicated and they tried to explain it to us in a way we couldn't understand, we'd certainly have people upset that they didn't break it down better.

I do agree though, even if they can't tell us all the details, they should at least be more transparent.
