This was not quite as outwardly destructive. I am left to assume her tactic was a... deliberate, violent override of something inside her that left her able to disregard her own safety in the name of more anger.
I am not certain what the cost was, but I can assume it was Pyrrhic given how her mysterious companion admonished her for it. I do not see why it would be necessary. She was already adept at killing.
Many reasons. As a student of history, I know the dangers of being one who thinks it is perfectly fine to kill indiscriminately. And as an adult who functions in normal society.
If Retrospec has chosen this path for me, they may have done it for a reason. They may know things about me that I do not know about myself, or they may simply be toying with me to force me into a more advantageous position for their ends.
Conditioning someone who understands military strategy to be perfectly fine with the concept of senseless violence. I do not precisely know what advantage it holds, but it is always a possibility.
[ hmm!!! sure sounds a lot like him, alright!! Except for the part where he's already perfectly okay with it. James is still half-convinced he was placed here to do some kind of undercover work for Retrospec, so maybe...she is as well? Or she's being prepped for it?
I am content with letting it remain something that will need to be dealt with later until I am finished with my own business. Provided Retrospec does not force my hand.
If they do not wish for me to put these skills to use, I will have no problems. I will live with this knowledge as I have lived with the knowledge of countless other bloody tragedies. I can continue to ignore Retrospec as I have for so long.
i didn't say not put those skills to use i just said they might not want you to kill anyone is killing where you draw the line between what is and isn't okay for retrospec to make you do

Killing would be a hard line, but far from the only.

the possibility that retrospec is giving you these memories to make you be their "murder robot"
so what are the other lines then
