Has anyone else found themselves falling in love with someone in those memories we all get? That might feel a little extreme, but the face has been sticking with me for a while now.

having strong ties like that

maybe i'll get to remember something like that one day
i think i remember loving people but they weren't family
more relationship-type things

Honestly, I'm not sure she had any or at least many bonds outside of her family. I was even talking about her husband up in the initial post.

it would be a bit strange if it were someone random

Well! It could have been someone she dated I guess! But.. yeah. Better to be a husband even if my hubby this life's past on.

Can't help but feel weird.

why does it feel weird

because you were married before or?

To dream about a man I've technically never met, but I know "I" spent a lifetime with. To see his face and feel a little weak-kneed over it, even at my age.

It's a strangely girlish feeling.

i can't see many downsides to that

There isn't much of one! I quite like!

But it's just strange...

It's been a real adjustment to things

i'm still getting used to it
my memories are mostly just strange
and the city itself is a mess
but i still find it pretty endearing so far

I'm glad you're enjoying this city of ours then! Honestly, for how scary it gets, it's a little endearing to me too.

it does keep people busy doesn't it

Not to mention it's always changing things up!

there aren't many greater crimes than being boring after all

Oh, is that your philosophy?

my philosophy is closer to "live so beautifully that it burns people's eyes out"

but that's a part of it

That seems like a philosophy which might lead to a short live, honestly?

maybe!
i've lasted 36 years at least
and i have yet to have my desire to live forever be interrupted
so i'm doing pretty great so far

To live forever? Golly, you really do think big!

That's fun, though

there's no point in not trying at least
and besides with advancements in modern medicine who knows what will be possible in my lifetime

assuming that i don't get fancy superpowers to go with those big plans of mine
i haven't gotten any yet
maybe retrospec dislikes me

Have you remembered something which makes you think you'll get some fancy powers?

i wanted to be a very bad person in a very ambitious way
so i was either very smart
very rich
or had very nice powers

i also remember time just stopping sometimes
so maybe i had fancy time powers

Maybe you did. I'm not sure anything's impossible at this point, honestly.

But that also makes sense, charm and luck can only get someone so far.
