I'll keep this short and to the point to give you guys time to strategize, catch up, all of that.

Congrats on your Magatus missions. Looks like everything's been cleared out as best as we can, but the region's been evacuated thanks to a couple of factors.

The new problem is we just added a bunch of people to city limits.

I've got some good news and some bad news.

Bad news: need some people out in Pesgare to do some deepdiving and recovery. It doesn't look like there's anything out there that'll kill you, but I need something from down there to stabilize Recollé itself.

Good news: got the subway working. Did you know it was just about coding? That's a little crazy to me and okay, I might have found out on accident, but…whatever was blocking exits from the city was just a false creation.

It means getting out of here and checking out the progress outside. The trains will be ready for departure in about a week, I'll get some maps drawn up and everything. I could really use some of you on location scouting.

Finally…who knows about machinery? We've got a problem we should probably look into, but keeping track of that eye's a huge pain in the ass.

I suppose we should look on the bright side, in that it can't possibly be worse than the actual cruise ship.

Do you think we'll find its remains? And never underestimate how terrible something can be, it certainly can be worse.

Well, rock bottom has to be hit at some point, and that was fairly far down, at least.

Although I'm honestly wondering that myself - if we'll find the ship, or the coven that was down there, or just the entire insane lot of individuals we ran into.

I suppose it depends on what's happened with regards to the layers and such.

I'd like to explore their society and learn about it without having to worry about if there's a hit on me or not, but...
I think I'd be crushed if they simply weren't there.
Something so full of life, suddenly desolate -- it doesn't settle with me, even if it'd be for the better for us.

I intend to go out there, to be honest, and that's at least partially the reason - I want to know if they're still there, if they can even be found nowadays. It's possible that they're somewhere we can't reach at this time, but if we can I want to know.

What would you do if you found them? Or is it a simple matter of curiosity?

It's a matter of curiosity, mostly, but I'm going to make sure that I have something ludicrously expensive on me to pay off the mob should that become necessary.

Something valuable and potentially useful to a race of overly intelligent octopi... It's certainly something to think of before the time comes. Perhaps I'll offer my first born son in exchange for their forgiveness in advance.

...It's terrible that my first thought was "I don't know how useful they would find a human child," isn't it.

Perhaps if it was given some magic to breath beneath the sea, they could... use it as a servant..?
Ah, but I'm not planning on having children of my own flesh and blood anyway, so it's more like tricking the fae than serious thought into the future. I'll sell the idea somehow. Jewelry is the back up.
