I'll keep this short and to the point to give you guys time to strategize, catch up, all of that.

Congrats on your Magatus missions. Looks like everything's been cleared out as best as we can, but the region's been evacuated thanks to a couple of factors.

The new problem is we just added a bunch of people to city limits.

I've got some good news and some bad news.

Bad news: need some people out in Pesgare to do some deepdiving and recovery. It doesn't look like there's anything out there that'll kill you, but I need something from down there to stabilize Recollé itself.

Good news: got the subway working. Did you know it was just about coding? That's a little crazy to me and okay, I might have found out on accident, but…whatever was blocking exits from the city was just a false creation.

It means getting out of here and checking out the progress outside. The trains will be ready for departure in about a week, I'll get some maps drawn up and everything. I could really use some of you on location scouting.

Finally…who knows about machinery? We've got a problem we should probably look into, but keeping track of that eye's a huge pain in the ass.

Oh good Because...lemme tell ya, I didn't get that memo until he was listed as an active threat. So..they got you covered there As for what else, just know that anything and everything will trigger your memory, and you'll even get stuff from your past life

I haven't received any memories yet, and I'm not looking forward to that. I have heard that powers are something that people have received, and I'm not sure how I feel about that. It seems like it could be dangerous.

Oh, I think I understand. It's certainly worrying that people could become that close to their past lives. Perhaps it's just because I'm so new to this, but I'd imagine that most people would want to distance themselves from whatever happened there, even if it was good. Is that not the case?

Guess it depends on your current life..and whatever you did in your past. I mean, you have to admit the idea of using magic and spells sounds a lot more enticing than your average life workin' at the local Target But it's good that you've got that separation early. When your memories start coming, you're gonna want to parse through what you feel you can relate to and what should've been left forgotten I definitely had a crash course in it myself

Really? Somehow it hadn't occurred to me that seeing a memory like that would involve feelings as well, but since it is your past life, that does make sense. I'll be sure to try to keep my separation intact despite it, because I do think that's important. I don't want to lose myself to my past life, whatever it might have been.

Though I do agree that using spells and having amazing powers would be enjoyable, and would make it easier to look fondly on one's past life...

It's hard to say. It's more than just 'seeing' it, like you would a movie. You feel what they felt. If you got hurt, you'd feel that too And usually your voice is the same, so you hear words come out of your mouth and they feel eerily nostalgic It's pretty easy to assimilate them into yourself if you're not careful

Oh, I see. I hadn't realized it would be quite so... immersive, I suppose? That makes sense though, and it certainly does sound like it would be a bit difficult to separate one's self after an experience like that.

Aren't they more of a calzone? I suppose the shape isn't quite right for that either though, is it?

Technically, you're right, but you could stretch the argument to say that calzones are just pizzas wrapped up in the shape of pocketed goodness Kinda like how origami is still paper, you know?
