I'll keep this short and to the point to give you guys time to strategize, catch up, all of that.

Congrats on your Magatus missions. Looks like everything's been cleared out as best as we can, but the region's been evacuated thanks to a couple of factors.

The new problem is we just added a bunch of people to city limits.

I've got some good news and some bad news.

Bad news: need some people out in Pesgare to do some deepdiving and recovery. It doesn't look like there's anything out there that'll kill you, but I need something from down there to stabilize Recollé itself.

Good news: got the subway working. Did you know it was just about coding? That's a little crazy to me and okay, I might have found out on accident, but…whatever was blocking exits from the city was just a false creation.

It means getting out of here and checking out the progress outside. The trains will be ready for departure in about a week, I'll get some maps drawn up and everything. I could really use some of you on location scouting.

Finally…who knows about machinery? We've got a problem we should probably look into, but keeping track of that eye's a huge pain in the ass.

Oh, was he your sibling? I thought that was only part of the memory scramble deal.

If so, that's good that you can sort of pick it up again and be part of his life again.

I'd been in Recolle for maybe six months? But Xiaolang had been there for at least a year I think.

My brother and I weren't really in touch with his part of the family, or really anyone in our family, so they weren't really aware of what we were doing either.

[though, in actuality, the older adults might have known a little, what with her brother working for Leon's family's company, but were politely keeping their distance... or something like that]

Oh, six months isn't that long, probably were too busy to notice.

And he was still in middle school and I was at the high school. So there wasn't much opportunity to cross paths regularly.

Well, yes. He didn't recognize me at first, because the last time we would have seen each other he would have been very young. But he knew who I was once I explained. I think in a couple weeks my presence will seem normal again.

Okay, not bad, so relatively normal, I met him while he was on the app, so, unless I run into him and his dog. I doubt I will see much of him.

Hope you two guys figure it out, how much does he remember of the last...however long he has been on the app? Like, I don't know, maybe some vaguely normal things in that time?

I imagine his memories will be like the people who've never had the app at all. Any weirdness is more or less accepted as normal.

I didn't really spend much time asking him questions. I'll see how his memories have adjusted in maybe a week or two. I don't want to push him.

Don't worry. Those memories aren't lost. People have gotten the app back before and remembered what happened the last time they had the app. So I think the soul remembers deep down.

Fair enough...sorry just...I hate how I try to connect with people and geuinely go through some hard shit with them and...poof...fate just rips them away...

One of them taught me how to make the bread pudding I made for you at Christmas...I hope that happy memory is in her soul like you said...she was really happy about that, even laughed at some of my jokes, so, at least an "aww, he is trying to be funny"...

and I swear Sakura is probably the biggest goody two shoe ever, almost would bet a 20 she's never stolen a cookie in this life or her last one, her hunting her cards or whatever probably included some property damage, but no cookies were harmed in the production of her magic.

It is hard, but at the same time, the effect they had on you doesn't go away. They might not remember what happened, but you do.

So take what you learned from connecting to them. And the next time you try to connect with someone, maybe it'll be a little easier.

Yeah...pretty sure that I've changed for the better just wish they could have stuck around, seen it and grow with me.

On better news, people have stopped saying I'm dead! And I don't have an eyeball on my left hand anymore either.

Then we just need to make sure we keep them safe, and maybe someday in the future they'll be able to see for themselves.

Wait...I didn't tell you about that?! Ops! ummm, I woke up one morning and had an eyeball on my left hand and took a picture, it was just for a week but still creeped me out every morning.

Which surprise, the rumours somehow managed to spin a story of me joining some fire eyeball cult, which REALLY, what the hell?!
