retrospec | (no subject)

I'll keep this short and to the point to give you guys time to strategize, catch up, all of that.

Congrats on your Magatus missions. Looks like everything's been cleared out as best as we can, but the region's been evacuated thanks to a couple of factors.

The new problem is we just added a bunch of people to city limits.

I've got some good news and some bad news.

Bad news: need some people out in Pesgare to do some deepdiving and recovery. It doesn't look like there's anything out there that'll kill you, but I need something from down there to stabilize Recollé itself.

Good news: got the subway working. Did you know it was just about coding? That's a little crazy to me and okay, I might have found out on accident, but…whatever was blocking exits from the city was just a false creation.

It means getting out of here and checking out the progress outside. The trains will be ready for departure in about a week, I'll get some maps drawn up and everything. I could really use some of you on location scouting.

Finally…who knows about machinery? We've got a problem we should probably look into, but keeping track of that eye's a huge pain in the ass.

[ ahmi will be going to the door to lock things up for the day, as she said she would. she’s— tremendously colorful, bright and spiritually vibrant to jamie ever since last month (and, he would know— her energy is god-like). she smiles to him as she catches him by the door, holding her hands up and in front of them. she’s not holding anything, but she’s going in for the most loving embrace a mother could give.

how many hugs has she given him today? a lot. ]

[ it wouldn't quite be accurate to say that he's gotten used to her spiritual presence; it's not really the kind of thing that can simply be gotten used to. but over the past few weeks, he's grown more and more familiar with it. she's as radiant as the sun, but the energy he feels is all warmth and life-giving and illumination; there's never anything scorching or blinding. he's wondered before whether that's a choice she's made (and is making), or just her nature.

he did definitely cry at least once or twice during earlier hugs but rn he's cool and he's got it together!! ]

[ her hug lingers, dearly, and carefully her hands place a crown of green vines, woven together in tiny braids. where she got it when her hands were visibly empty before: god hammerspace.

one hug, a tight one against her bosom that has her sighing out, content: ]

My sweet boy, [ a kiss to his forehead, and as she pulls away for him to get a better look at her handiwork, she clasps her hands together. ]

No tears today. [ ahhh. hmm. ] Unless they are the happy sort.

If there are any today, they'll definitely be that sort.
