Jim Halloway Research & Development Retrspec Incorporated As of this post all apples, oranges, lemons, and limes have been replaced in-universe as the silly dancing fruits shown above. This means that as with Chocobos all NPCs will insist this is how things have always been and history/movies/etc will back them up. In honor of St. Patrick's Day characters will find a request from Retrospec to upload a picture of themselves to the network in which they are wearing something green. They will find themselves shocked lightly by their device if they try to use it without complying. Rude? A non-triggered memory regain can be earned through participation in this post in honor of Lucy's birthday the holiday with proof of a single thread with at least five comments from your character. If you plan to redeem this, please submit it to our regains page with the explanation of "March freebie". This must be submitted before April to be valid! Regardless of whether or not a character earns the freebie, all characters will find a gold coin with the Retrospec logo on one side and a Chocobo on the other. On the outside edge of the coin they will find "Jim, put a meaningful quote here. - Janet" engraved in a beautiful font. The Chocobo will morph into a horse should your character obtain the memory regain from the event; it will stay a Chocobo if your character does not obtain the memory regain. Every toplevel can be considered a new post, and threadjacking is permitted. No NPC response will be given. Usernames are the character's full real AU names, not aliases or chosen nicknames or usernames, and seemed to have filled themselves in; nothing characters do can change or obscure their names currently.

1) These brave and foolhardy fruits would no doubt only smile blankly as they're plunged them into an all-consuming celestial war. As the sun sets beneath a silent battleground, they will have truly danced until they're...you know.

2) Whyever not? In a pinch, they could also be used as precious sustenance.

3) I concede you have a point there. I do not like to think about such matters! [ Celestial wars are all well and good, but...rotting things? That's way too much! ]

anyway don't eat the smiling fruit (´-ε-｀) you probably shouldn't be using them to dance their lives away in a celestial war either?? but at least definitely don't eat them. i'm sure there's some sort of life wisdom immortalized somewhere that's like

hey, if your fruit is making faces at you, maybe they're possessed by demons and shouldn't be consumed

especially if they rot later (;◇;)

Possessed by demons? I admit I hadn't yet considered that possibility...this changes matters! Their rotting, then, would be evidence of the wicked forces within them corrupting their very souls.

They may not have souls, they are not sentient, but - those smiles had to come from somewhere!

And yet, to all but us chosen few, consuming these cheery little fellows has suddenly always been a part of everyday life. 'Tis as if their memories have been rewritten, and they know not of their own fruity bloodlust. Juicelust? [ no that sounds wrong ]

All the more reason this quest must be carried out as soon as possible.
