[retrospec is treated today to a whole lot of skin. some RU students might recognise this exhibitionist as the much overworked first-year VP of RU's swimming team. others might recognise him simply as someone in need of a shirt]

Oi, RU students, listen up.

[luckily, this half-naked guy has some interesting accessories to keep him warm. they're doing a good job of it, if the colour on his deadpan face is anything to go by]

Dedication. Teamwork. Passion. Strength of character.

[as he's talking, he crosses his arms, and the floaties squeak!! around his biceps. a red eye twitches, ever-so-slightly]

These are just some of the qualities that we cultivate in the RU swimming team. If you want to be pushed to greater heights, if you have an athletic dream you want to pursue, or if you just have a love of the water, there's a team waiting for you. We work hard, and we get results. Slackers need not apply.

tryouts are whenever the captain or i are free. the roster's going to be light after graduation, so we're trying to ingrain freshman swimmers as fast as possible.

but "hop along" was coupled with the visual representation of frogs, making it much more memorable~

tell me more about the club? is there diving? synchronized swimming?

we're a competitive swimming club, so there is diving, but there's no synchronized swimming. we do competitions, relays, races, that kind of thing. do you have a preferred stroke already, or are you a beginner?

i can swim without frog floaties! i've never raced, but i *have* gone snorkeling before, and scuba diving just the once

not sure whether they're interested in swimming though
you should invite your club to come with!
that's how clubs traditionally gather members, right? a social event to see whether potential members will get along and work well together with the current ones

that's hard. cats don't normally like water in the first place, do they? an advertisement supported by your entire team though, there's no way you could have turned that down. i think delivering the sentiments of the team as you did is admirable
