That's not as weird as the person who got a salad fork.

A friend of mine.
They mailed it to her in a neat little box.
Just a fork all by itself.

She said she remembered it in one of her not-memories.
But it is still just a fork.

so far everybody except for Yuri has received stuff they actually remember. and now me with this sandwich and the shoes
I know people believe these things belong to them, but I'm also now more sold on the original theory that we're somebody's play-things
weird question, did she try to get rid of the fork?

She started carrying it around. Didn't even seem to know why.
I convinced her to put it away, but I bet if I went and found her it would be in her pocket.

well as long as she doesn't start combing her hair with it we might be in okay shape

I'm having a hard time trusting anybody to stay reasonable for too long if we keep getting weird shit in the mail and weird memories to go with it. That kind of stuff is enough to drive anybody nuts isn't it?

I guess we can't really know how anyone will react to it.
I would think it would take far less than all this to make someone go mad but so far.

the thing about people is that our kind are meant to adapt to everything
we're adapting and that's not a good sign. complacency? something like that. we're getting used to weird things happening because they're just that. weird. acceptable and weird and not a lot of people I know have had bad memories yet
...but you're right. everyone seems mostly stable. it makes me wonder what the snapping point's going to be

If things get worse we'll already be half-prepared for them?

besides, what makes you think preparation will really help us?

Well, what's the alternative?
We can assume that things will keep getting worse and nothing we do will temper it.
Or we can think that what we do will matter, and try to prepare for it.

I'd rather do something and be positive about it than assume the worst as an excuse to do nothing.

and while I'd normally agree with that, what if they really ARE watching us and they're anticipating us actually preparing for this kind of stuff and just make it worse? see, that's where I'm saying preparation might not help
we need to do something besides just preparing, I'm just stuck on "what."
the only idea I've had so far is planting cameras and stuff in their building to see what's really going on in there but that idea might not work
if you have any suggestions, be my guest.

We can't start thinking like that, though, all it does is make paranoia even worse.
Do they know that we know that they know that we know that...
We'll drive ourselves mad.
Either we prepare, or we don't, for our own reasons, I think.

When I was there I couldn't get anywhere past the lobby.
I mean, cameras could be a good idea, unless they find them.
Or just change the feed somehow.

we'll prepare enough and we'll have to go from there. anything they throw at us probably won't kill us
they'd lose important test subjects
I don't know about changing the feed but it sounds like something they could probably get away with
who knows? maybe they'll take pity on us sooner or later. it's been months

I want to say I wish they'd give us a reprieve, but this month felt like that, almost.

We can't learn anything when they don't do anything.

if this month was a reprieve you know that means next month is going to be when we see the real repercussions of whatever's going on. I'll try to be ready for that
