SOmeone please tell me I can move this through a door. I can't take it apart.
[ooc: Guess whose niece is coming tomorrow? His. Guess who puts off shopping and redecorating to the last possible moment? This guy. Also don't let him at things that are basically giant model kits.]

You can take anything apart if it went together at some point. The trouble is getting it back together.

Gorilla Glue is perhaps relevant to your life right now, or some woodworking skills, maybe?

lolol, now I see how it is! Let me guess, tonight's the deadline.

Does the person you're building the bed for care that much about the finish? Unless that lovely floral-print bedding is yours, of course; it's quite pretty.
[And he means it unironically, too!]

[Although it makes him remember those creepy (but oddly calming) singing flowers from that memory the month prior. That's how it goes, he guesses.]

wow ok
if your door frame is three times the size of a normal one, maybe
if not, I have some bad news
have you tried getting help for it?

lol
cutting right to the chase
it's not a matter of being able to lift it. you have to dismantle it. it won't get out of the room otherwise

[She feels a little bad for him! But mostly she's questioning his foresight.]

is there a way it can stay where it is?

[personal profile] seeker 2017-05-03 03:00 am (UTC)(link)
why
did you build it in the living room?
oh my god.

no kidding.
this is the way i see it. you have two choices:
either she sleeps in the living room, or you dismantle the bed. it won't fit through a standard door, and even if it could, it'd be so difficult to carry that whoever was moving it would be risking serious injury.

Juzo Sakakura And you think it's gonna work?
Juzo Sakakura I'm not as optimistic as you in this case
Juzo Sakakura But let's give it a try anyway
Juzo Sakakura When do you want me to come over?

hey, don't be so glum.
it's a pain in the ass, but it'll work out. i'm sure she'll appreciate it.

it's more important that you don't kill yourself trying to move a loft bed.
but her happiness is important too.

Donald Maxwell Looks like it might be a little big for getting through a door. Good luck with that.
