For one thing, no secret handshakes or phrases? Not even dramatic meeting locations? The trying rating is about half a star if that. And I'm almost bored to tears with the whole back and forth about what's going on. Not bored enough to give you a cheat sheet, but still. Usernames are the character's full real AU names, not aliases or chosen nicknames or usernames, and seemed to have filled themselves in; nothing characters do can change or obscure their names currently. Characters who have been in game for more than one month will find they can change their profile pictures; newcomers are locked into their first choice. And same here, it's really annoying. If I get rid of my laptop and my phone I won't have any contact with anybody back home anymore.

I have no clue. I'm new as a kitten about this whole thing, but from what people are tossing back and forth on the boards here it doesn't look like it.

Wow, my condolences! My folks are all pretty cool about letting me out into the big bad city and not worrying to much about it!

Hahaha, my brother thinks American cities are like those movies from the 80s where everything is run by motorcycle gangs and all of the buildings are on fire. He's still kind of mad that I'm here! (We're from pretty much the middle of the woods in Finland, for context.) So I'm a little jealous.

Oh man! With sirens going off in the background and gangsters running things from the shadows and the like all the time?! Guy's got some fantasy, I'm almost jealous! Things would be way more interesting here if that were true!

My parents are fine with us calling each other a couple of times a week. Nothing big, just my godfather's a bit overly worried. Insists on skype or seeing me in the flesh at least once a week, no clue what he think is gonna eat me.

So you're from Finland? That's pretty cool! How is it there?

That's exactly it! Every time we talk (which is often, he tries to call me every day) he tells me about some news article or documentary he saw that's convinced him that I'm a minute away from ending up in a shootout, or something. (I'm not going to tell him about these creepy stalker photos, obviously.)

(I mean, to be clear, it's nice that they care, right? My brother just takes it to an extreme.)

I am! I actually think it's kind of boring, haha. There's lots of... trees. Lots of snow in the winter. There's probably more people in one apartment complex here than there are in my whole town back home. That sort of thing.

But I agree, it's always nice to know that you're being cared about. To be honest I was really worried about that when I moved to Recolle all on my own.

Sounds nice! I could do with a little less neighbors at times! (Or at least some with thicker walls and a better taste in music after spending the night partying)

Aww, but it sounds like they're hitting the perfect medium! They call often enough so you know they have your back if you need to, but you're still here doing your thing on your own!

Hahaha well if you ever want to get some peace and quiet, I can tell you that eastern Finland is good for that. If you don't mind getting 5 hours of sunlight a day in the winter. Your neighbors are quiet because they're hibernating!

Probably. It's not that I was worried about them not having my back, it's more .....it's a really big city, you know?

It probably doesn't make sense but I was worried that I'd just get swallowed up and vanish in it.

Ahh, yeah, I can see that. Well, in a way, it's sort of nice that there's a small subsection of the city with access to this app! We're all in this incredibly bizarre situation together!

Then come during the summer! I'm from relatively far south in the country and the sun still rises by 4 AM in June, haha!

Well, where I'm from, the sun still rises and sets every day. There are towns further north where the sun doesn't set at all during the summer, or rise all the way in the winter! So it's exaggerated for most people but it really does happen.

Hahaha yeah, I guess starting with the city is probably easier than getting to another country... but that's fine! We'll always be there when you're ready!
