Well, some of you anyway. :) Jim Halloway Research & Development Retrspec Incorporated As discussed on the monthly plot post the colors blue and green are now gray - except for the blue on the retrospec application logo and their building sign, although no NPC will be capable of seeing the color in these places. As stated in the plot post, NPCs will also seem to be completely unaware that the colors blue and green ever existed. Oops. Please feel free to use this post as a network mingle. Every toplevel can be considered a new post, and threadjacking is permitted. No NPC response will be given. Usernames are the character's full real AU names, not aliases or chosen nicknames or usernames, and seemed to have filled themselves in; nothing characters do can change or obscure their names currently. Last's month's application round characters are now capable of changing their profile pictures.

I wouldn't have agreed with you, some time ago. But then I've met a woman who has lost her arm. Another person who has a degenerative disease, they'll keep getting sicker. Retrospec's changes? What if they just fix all of that. Can somebody else's choice deny them all of that?

Contrast that with the sheer number of kids, people 16, 19, getting back memories of fighting monsters, abilities to fight with swords or guns. They'd love to make all of that go away.

So maybe you're right.

we should all get to make our own choices. we didn't get to make them in regards to the things that have changed us and if i'm to be realistic, will change us still, but we should be allowed to make our own choice at some part in this.

if it comes down to all or nothing, then i suppose we'll sort that out when we get there. one has to pick and choose what issues they dwell on to keep them up at night, and currently that spot for me is occupied with trying to discern sort of life the woman of my memories led.

May I ask why it's important to you? To know what your other self (if that's what's going on) was doing? Do you think it'll lead to knowing more about yourself?

I am definitely afraid of losing track of myself, if I pay too much attention to the memories. I already see it happening to some of the teenagers.

i feel that if i forgot it all of that once, i don't want to forget it again. i owe it to her. and i owe myself the truth of things - i'd never rest easy if i didn't know the rest of it.

Then the best I can do is offer a helping hand, a listening ear, when you are confronting those things that I, at least, am not courageous enough to confront. You're already going so far out of your way to help all of us deal with this. Don't forget to take the support you need in return.

it's appreciated more than you know. i think i do need at least a few people around me reminding me to take a break every now and then.

and let me offer in return - if you wish to talk about this not from the mechanical point of view, but the philosophical, i'm here. you're working on solving the what, but the why can be equally important.

That. That's actually probably the best thing you can offer. I can sit here with the 'how,' and a lot of people respond to the question. But some people, as soon as I try to get into the 'why' don't want to hear it.

It's just. Recolle's motivations seem deeper than just your typical corrupt organization. It's not about some sort of absolute control. There are some little things that they're doing, things that make me think they're trying to keep us safe. Or keep other people safe from us. These powers suddenly exploding out of some of us. We might be a threat and not understand it.

if i can't sort out the how using science, and believe me, i'm still trying, then perhaps the why through debate.
