Just a couple of things. -I'm turning 25 on Monday and it seems like the kind of thing you should do something for. I was going to invite people to the pool until some things happened, but now I don't want to, so. I'm going to be at the Inkwell and will accept all birthday congratulations, gifts, and complaints about how grey water is super weird. Anyone can come, it's not like I run the bar. Unless you're that guy that threatened me, you have to stay at least ten feet away from me at all times.

[Water being grey now is not actually why the pool party is being called off, but it makes an excellent excuse.]

-Does anyone have any advice about explaining your sudden changes in behavior to people who know you really well but don't know what's going on with Retrospec? I can't not talk to my parents.

That sounds doable, despite some paints lacking colors.

You'd usually use a lot of blue for that, wouldn't you? Woops. Maybe you can start a trend of purple-tinted snow. Screw Retrospec.

In some cases, yes.

I hope you don't have too many more of those restrictions. Changing reality is one thing, but they're messing with your art.

They haven't changed horses to chocobos, nor added faces to the ones that suddenly received them, in pictures I have drawn them in since the initial changes... Still, it has had a great impact on the entire art world.

They are ultimately changing all of art history, paintings, photography, sculptures, poems, other forms of literature, every form of it. It's incredibly insulting to and great disrespect toward anyone who has worked in one of the forms or other.

I didn't think about that. Now I want horses and normal fruit back even more. No still life painter deserves to have faces added to their fruit.

So do I. I tried to get access to paintings that had been ruined that way, but it was apparently weird and it still bothers me that there are paintings that I made that are not the way I made them.

Thankfully my sci-fi novel didn't have any horses in it to start with. I would've been pissed.

It’s been a little disrupted lately, but otherwise it has.

Good to know. The 'starving artist' thing isn't actually that fun.

Yeah, I know. I sort of involuntarily tried that in university. But then I managed to get a part-time job, and a roommate around the same time period, and things worked out. The starving artist thing is not something I would recommend.

I'm personally trying to avoid it. I'd like to have a stable income, a roof over my head, and enough to eat. And an internet connection.

It’s a good thing to try to avoid.
