This includes the echo flowers in the Recollé woods! NPCs seem to be incapable of seeing this color still, however, and will not note any differences. The color does not seem capable of being transferred to anything else, either, and any attempts to do so will simply fade the color of the thing you were trying to use to do that. No, I suppose I shouldn't say never either. After all, Jim saw fit to give me a 'memory' of a time when that girl proved it could work just fine.

I just had another hallucination. I watched this Altena try to calm down Kirika by telling her that they were all sinners, and that the only way she'd ever know peace was with them.

Admittedly, she was a lot more eloquent than Jim.

Kirika was pointing the gun that Altena had just given back to her at her head, so yes. Very intense. I think everyone was a few seconds from snapping except Altena. She seemed eerily calm.

I think I know a few reasons it can't work on you or I, not the way that they want it. No matter what, these "Memories" aren't replacing. They're adding on to the things in our head. Altena feels like she was 'her' mother, but not mine. Make sense?

They still feel as real as a memory, and to an extent it takes me forcing myself to remember 'that didn't actually happen' sometimes to push the effects away. It gets harder the more there are, the younger they are, but it's more additive, yes.

I'm not sure that they aren't trying to turn us still, but if they are, it's not a very good job of it yet.

Even if they feel like memories, we still remember everything about who we really are.
I don't know.
I do have to remind myself sometimes too but.
Not once I adjust to the idea that a specific memory isn't real.

One or two have been harder. Most have not. The ones that are memories from her youth are harder to ignore, I think because they are formative, if that makes sense.

If I'm being really honest, Eleanor, one of the things that disturbs me most is that, outside of a couple very obvious things like stabbing people or this weird obedience to a cult? She doesn't feel that different either.

She has the same sense of humor, smiles the same way, has most of the same tastes. Right up until she starts spouting something semi-religious or starts stabbing people in the throat, it would feel almost like me. It's always been like that, and that worries me. The dream of Corsica? It could have been me, no question, but I'm almost sure there's something really creepy about why she was there now, even if I can't put a finger on what yet.

I'm not her, but she does sound like me a lot when she isn't being a horrible person.

I feel like 'Is a religious nutjob who stabs people' is a pretty important distinction.
Like, I'm sure there are lots of people out there who you're quite similar too.
Moreso for the fact that they aren't, you know, stabbing people.
Than you are to her just because you laugh at the same jokes

You're right, of course. In fact, you're very right. The distinction is huge, even if so many things on the surface are the same. Even if something core is the same, we went different directions in our lives.
