Maurice was going to do this, but Maurice sucks so I sent him home before he could. Anyway, some of you may have noticed our new poll feature! We just don't have the time and resources to cater to all your "where is x item, what the fuck" complaints, so we had to streamline. The polls were the result of that! Coded them myself. I mean, Maurice did some of it, but I did most of it.

So basically we're democratically crowd-sourcing what we're going to bother to fix for you! You can send thank you notes to the building, HR doesn't mind. So far it seems like you all care about the color blue most, so we fixed it!

A little, anyway. I suggest a bracing walk through the woods if you particularly missed the color and don't feel like gazing deeply into a hobo's eyes.

You've all been reading up on QR codes, right? You might also want to learn to start a fire. Just a tip.

As per the World Regains tracker, fruits and flowers that were once blue are once again blue. This includes the echo flowers in the Recollé woods! NPCs seem to be incapable of seeing this color still, however, and will not note any differences. The color does not seem capable of being transferred to anything else, either, and any attempts to do so will simply fade the color of the thing you were trying to use to do that. Furthermore, one thread of at least 10 comments from you from this post may be supplied for one untriggered memory by linking the thread and in explanation putting "June Freebie". This may only be claimed through the rest of June, and may not be claimed after the month ends.

Please feel free to use this post as a network mingle. Every toplevel can be considered a new post, and threadjacking is permitted. No NPC response will be given. Usernames are the character's full real AU names, not aliases or chosen nicknames or usernames, and seemed to have filled themselves in; nothing characters do can change or obscure their names currently.

I haven't been to the beach yet. But I guess maybe Yuri would want to go.

We can combine the two. Have a barbecue with a bonfire at the same time. I'm not sure if that would be too much fire in one place though.

[ Oh hey, hold up, didn't Yuri totally live with her uncle. ]

Oh, are you Yuuri's uncle?

At least if we had a fire by the ocean, the chance of it spreading is probably not as bad.

[personal profile] starfruitfrog 2017-06-20 03:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, you know Yuuri?

And I guess that we could throw ourselves into the sea if it does spread.

Yeah, I'm her brother. Half-brother, anyway. Nice to meet you.

Ideally we'd throw water on the fire... but I guess if it got that bad it'd be better to rely on the fire department, huh.

Kazuma-san, right? [Kazuma-san? Kazuma-kun?? He has no idea how to refer to someone who was technically his half-nephew.]

A bonfire is usually pretty big, right? But I guess using water would work, too. Does sand burn? If we clear out any debris, maybe it'll be okay?

That's right. Just Kaz is fine -- I grew up here, so I didn't speak much Japanese or anything growing up.

[ Though he can technically remember how to speak it now, but that's... hard to explain... ]

I think sand is sometimes used to put out fires so probably not? They usually do bonfires on the beach on TV right? I think the last time I went to one, I was really young.

Kaz it is, then. Sorry, I guess I'm a bit too used to talking to Yuuri-chan and I kind of assumed.

I don't think I've ever gone to a bonfire. It does sound like fun though.

It's cool. I understand it fine now, I'm just more used to this. Yuuri just moved from Japan, right?

We had one at my high school, way back.
[ It wasn't that long ago, Kaz... ] Maybe Jim just wants to keep the summer fun alive with a bonfire... haha.

Yeah, about a month or so ago. I think she's settling in pretty well.

[Besides his mother promised in his stead and he can't say no to her or to Yuuri.]

I'm not sure that's what he wants, but we can always hope?

I'm glad to hear that. Let me know if she ever needs anything, I wouldn't mind helping out.

[ Meanwhile Kiryu's dad only mentioned her like once and he's in jail so go figure. ]

It's probably the best we can do. And probably hope no one sets anything on fire in the meantime...

You could come over for dinner more often? I think she'd appreciate that.

[Even if he's not sure that Yuuri would ever say it.]

And if they do set something on fire, let's hope they have some water on hand.

Sure, I'd love to stop by. Just let me know what time and day works for you guys.

[ Real estate life can wait, family is more important. ]

Yeah, ultimately we just have to hope for the best.

I think a Friday would be best. Or during the weekend? We shouldn't be too late so maybe at around 6pm.

[Should he choose a day when Yuuri would be cooking? Or would that just give her too much pressure? Maybe it would be better to choose a day when he would be cooking....but then again maybe the siblings could bond over making dinner too? Being an only child himself, Sato really has no idea how siblings work...]

And give them PSAs.

Okay, sounds good. I'll keep my schedule open, just let me know.

[ Well it's a good thing Kaz can't cook so if he has to help out, Yuuri will definitely be in charge. It should prove to be an endearing sight for all. ]

And cross our fingers, too.
starfruitfrog: (human || whoa what)

[personal profile] starfruitfrog 2017-06-28 07:16 pm (UTC)(link)
I'll let her know and then I'll text you.

[Because he doesn't want to just foist this on her.]

Does that actually work?
judgementkazzy: (So the grooves make me move)

[personal profile] judgementkazzy 2017-06-29 03:28 am (UTC)(link)
Cool. I'll look forward to it.

[ It'll be cute... ]

I dunno, actually. I guess if you're superstitious?
starfruitfrog: (human || It doesn't work like that.)

[personal profile] starfruitfrog 2017-06-30 12:03 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm not that superstitious...besides, how is that supposed to work anyway?
judgementkazzy: (Can’t stop dancing all night long)

[personal profile] judgementkazzy 2017-06-30 10:23 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't know...

[ One trip to Wikipedia later... ]

Apparently it used to have some kind of religious implication once upon a time. Like praying?
starfruitfrog: (human || It doesn't work like that.)

[personal profile] starfruitfrog 2017-07-02 11:03 pm (UTC)(link)
[And after getting lost in the sinkhole of knowledge that is Wikipedia and ending up on a page about wedding cakes...]

Huh. I didn't know that. So we're praying every time we do it. Or...mini-praying, I guess.
