Hello Users, For those of you who are new: Welcome to Retrospec™, the last social media network you will ever need. You are one of the few selected to test this exciting new platform based on our cutting-edge algorithms. Membership is not currently open to the public. However, we hope you will come to see how useful Retrospec™ is, given time. We have for your use a variety of features such as text, voice, video, and image posts. We encourage you to explore our many options. For all, new and old: Please be advised that should you go above and beyond the call of duty for Mr. Halloway's little game in the coming days, there may be a reward granted or information given. 100% completion would be the goal for that, should you have an interest. If you have no interest in the matter, please feel free to carry on as usual. R&D will not be handling further communiques for this month, or possibly the next few months. This should not, of course, have any impact on your usage of Retrospec™. The first milestone for the second of the colors lost has been met, and accordingly we have diverted resources to fix what could be fixed. R&D has alerted me that a bigger loss may occur in the near future, and I would advise you to be careful, though I am afraid neither they nor I can be much more detailed than that. Finally, I would like to extend congratulations to those of you who have now reached your sixth month. We hope you will continue to accept our assistance in these trying times. Thank you for your patience, Janet Wiseman Human Resources Retr ![]() As of this post green fruits and flowers of this color regain their pigment. (Note: this is not all plants. This is just for flowers and fruits!)
Please feel free to use this post as a network mingle. Every toplevel can be considered a new post, and threadjacking is permitted. No NPC response will be given. Usernames are the character's full real AU names, not aliases or chosen nicknames or usernames, and seemed to have filled themselves in; nothing characters do can change or obscure their names currently. Any new characters will find that the first photo they upload is locked as their profile picture for the rest of the month. Characters who have been in game since February will find their profiles now have a 6 months badge. It does absolutely nothing of note. |

that said, i see we've gotten a collection of new faces on this application, and i'd like to take the moment to introduce myself. my name is grell sutcliffe, and along with lucian trevelyan, i offer medical assistance and advice to those changed by retrospec to deal with things you can't tell a doctor who doesn't understand. yes, you can be physically changed via this company and application, no, it most likely won't be painful, and most importantly, you're not alone in it happening.
both dr. trevelyan and myself promise discretion and aid to the best of our abilities - ms. arisato's directory has the best way to get in contact with us as well as a few more details. i've been on this application for six months, and i can say confidently that if you have a question, ask - another of this userbase likely has an answer for you.
now we can go back to the marvel that ms. wiseman is a real person answering us and not simply the idol of jim's dreams.

if it works the same way blue and green did, your hair will stay just as red as it is now
everyone will be able to pick you out in a crowd even easier

I am terrified to think of what might happen to us if we lose red. My hair, Grell. Can you even imagine?

Would you even be able to look at me the same way?

[oh, she's a doctor. just not exactly one for living people, Retrospec users excepted.]
do you usually come across pretenders to such things?

in my own case, both my hair and eye color have changed, with seemingly no explanation nor side effects. others are free to disclose their own changes if they would - i advertise discretion, though, and so will not speak on anyone's case but my own.

hey...
has anyone ever died from one of those alterations? have you ever not been able to help people?

[the bodies would pass through her office, after all, and she's seen nothing out of the ordinary.]
it's strange and frightening, the process, but it's not fatal.
no subject
still, if no one's really in danger from it that makes it seem a little less intimidating, right? way less spooky if you're virtually guaranteed to die because no one else has. shouldn't people just get over it?
