Welcome to all the unfortunate new users of Retrospec. You should know the unnatural changes of the world also affect loved ones outside the city, who are oblivious as the non-Retrospec users here; you might also experience some physical changes or receive unwanted things in the mail. Usually at the start of the month, given others' accounts. Anyway...

If people were being very insistent. (Very.) And refusing to take no for an answer, what type of birthday present would you ask for?

P.S. Indecisiveness is unhelpful and not the point of the post, please refrain from posting so unless you have some idea.

Cash. It's easier for everyone, and you can always use more of it.

So, what, they said no to cash?

[ What good is that? ]

Okay… what about going out for lunch or something? Food’s always good.

You should’ve said that, then!

[ guess that is a pickle, isn’t it. Jack’s never dealt with anyone overseas, this is a weird problem to have. ]

Well, you got any hobbies? Maybe ask for something to go with those, like… art supplies or something, I don’t know.

[ Journal keeping?? Well, if that makes you happy, pal… ]

Well, see, there you go! That’s something!

So, journal keeping? That like keeping a diary?
insantafe: (I never planned on someone like you)

What, does it sound too girly for them or something? Just because they’re insecure about something doesn’t mean you have to be. You can call it what you want, journaling or keeping or diary or whatever. It’s the same thing, and it’s nobody else’s business, anyways.
