Welcome to all the unfortunate new users of Retrospec. You should know the unnatural changes of the world also affect loved ones outside the city, who are oblivious as the non-Retrospec users here; you might also experience some physical changes or receive unwanted things in the mail. Usually at the start of the month, given others' accounts. Anyway... If people were being very insistent. (Very.) And refusing to take no for an answer, what type of birthday present would you ask for? P.S. Indecisiveness is unhelpful and not the point of the post, please refrain from posting so unless you have some idea.

Well I used to keep a journal more actively before I moved. I could revive the hobby. Maybe I'll ask for a pen just fancy enough they won't raise another objection and I'll have to stick to the journal so I'm actually be able to use it.

maybe you can also ask for a shiny new journal to go along with it

I'd be satisfied with just the one, but I'll go ahead and add that.

if they're this insistent on getting you something, i'm sure they'll get you both! neither is that expensive, anyway.

I know what you mean. It feels like little by little our touch with reality is going to be severed, because reality itself is what's changing. And we are too... but against our will.

right? it kind of feels like we're all going crazy, but together.
if we're not getting weird things in the mail, then our hair or eyes change color...
i don't think there's much we can do about it, though.

Are we going to spend the rest of our lives like this?
If Retrospec crashes and burns before anything is solved, are these going to stay? What a headache.

since we can't leave this city... until we die, i'd guess?
but taking retrospec out might free us from all of these changes, since they're probably responsible for everything in the first place

When they stop being non-entities on the Internet we can start something, however who knows how long it'll take until that'll happen.

They could at least start actually replying.

it is pretty inconvenient that they don't reply...
but if they do reply, then they'd actually be acknowledging our concerns
and i don't think they're the type of people to do that

Yeah I suppose it's much to ask for sudden changes of heart considering they've kept this up for a half year in a congratulatory message.

did you get one too?
honestly, surviving six months here is a feat, given what happens left and right
i thought we'd get something better than a badge next to our name

Oh no, that's not the case for myself yet. I've just read that Retrospec lady's message.

Maybe there will be something more celebratory in a year's time but likely not in a good way.

they might just give us another badge
which, as weird as it is, is preferable to all of the trouble they cause for us...

or they might really surprise us in a year and throw us all into a battle-royale sort of situation! that'd definitely be something.

I always did feel like the escalation might someday lead to at least one person's death.

Let us indeed hope for another badge instead.
