The first milestone for the second of the colors lost has been met, and accordingly we have diverted resources to fix what could be fixed. R&D has alerted me that a bigger loss may occur in the near future, and I would advise you to be careful, though I am afraid neither they nor I can be much more detailed than that. But I suppose it's to help with morale. How however I can't see since no one would be inclined to anything they offer.

Why bother, indeed. [But he won't call him out on it anymore.] For answers, maybe, but that's only for the most curious -- or frustrated -- of us all.

Now, frustrated, I’d understand, seeing as they don't look all that inclined to give us much of anything to work with. If they were, they’d actually hold a conversation once in awhile, but trying to get answers out of them’s like talking to a brick wall. And we know they'd get any messages if they’re keeping such close tabs on us like Jim suggested before.

I don’t expect to get anything that’ll actually help with anything out of this game of his. If we're lucky, it’ll just be a good way to waste some time now that classes are over.

You mean like why Jim would step back if he’s been heading off these posts for so long? Besides working on this game of his.

Because it sounds to me like he must be busy getting ready for this “bigger loss” Janet’s talking about. I remember some people talking about the possibility of losing technology last month when Jim mentioned learning to start fires, but that sounds unrealistic. A blackout, maybe, but those are usually solved in a few hours.
