01 | the answers agency presents...

Elizabeth Velveteen and Goro Akechi of the newly-formed The Answers Agency would like to announce that, after multiple days of investigation, we have found that a member of Retrospec's userbase is actually an incredibly kind person.

Silver Bells, known on the app as Gintaro Suzukaze, has done wonderful things such as:

* sprayed water on people on a very hot day
* helped newcomers adjust to retrospec
* had his nails painted a bright assortment of colors that was sure to clash with his hair to help out with someone’s bingo square
* promo’d his brother for bingo and because he obviously loves him
* rescues cats from trees on a biweekly basis
* befriends friendless losers
* lends his aid without asking for anything in return

(citation for at least two of these)

We thank you for reading and ask that you spread the good word about Silver, and perhaps share stories of your own of his kindness!

also, i (The Answers Agency president, Elizabeth) will be holding a show everyone is free to come to in Recollé Square on the 15th, at 5pm. you’ll have to bring your own snacks, but other refreshments will be provided.
additionally, those with a serious interest in becoming a detective or making their way in the investigative world should contact either myself or Akechi for more information about The Answers Agency!
we will also take cases, big or small, missing pets or stolen items, so feel free to contact about that as well.

[ ooc: replies will come from both Elizabeth and Goro ([personal profile] twostringsonebow)! ...and Silver, probably, damage control at its finest. ]

Hey.
Don't bring time into a perfectly good explanation of exploding stars.

It's impossible not to, though our conceptualization of time would be different if we lived anywhere else in the solar system. Imagine, you'd be 74 and a half years old on Mercury! Going by your Earth age, that is.
That said, I'm curious as to why not.

Because

Actually, what do you know about alternate timelines?

Enough to know that trying to comprehend their existence is by far the most painstaking and mind-numbing experience of my life
but that aside, mostly that any choice you make in a given day can change the outcome of the future, no matter how small. A lot of things are just... inconsequential, really, like trying something new and finding out if you like it or not versus never knowing, but bigger decisions create bigger paradoxes.
If they're real, then there's an infinite number of possible existences that stem from every different choice that you've made, that others have made for you, and trying to imagine the variables too much can cause a serious headache.

While I very mcuh enjoy showing off my knowledge of different things I've learned before bed, can't you just look it up yourself?
Or if this is the only way you're learning anything, perhaps we could do it over lunch instead?

[this isn't a date it's a tutoring session]

You paying?

[...Look, he could say something about how he learns plenty, but why do that when he can get a free meal.]
twostringsonebow: (68 oh no)

[...]

Are you able to split the difference?
feistytrader: (gold's hat is huge too)

[personal profile] feistytrader 2017-07-14 12:52 am (UTC)(link)
I can buy my own food, but I can do that on my own.
Although you did say you were taking me on a romantic date to Target.

We're buying you trendy clothes, I'm not expecting you to kiss me at the end of the night.
feistytrader: (I'm okay with this)

[personal profile] feistytrader 2017-07-14 01:02 am (UTC)(link)
You never know, Goro. Maybe you'll get lucky.
twostringsonebow: (50 i might as well)

[personal profile] twostringsonebow 2017-07-14 01:05 am (UTC)(link)
Your feelings, while flattering, are ones I cannot return.
twostringsonebow: (63 you see it's easy when i'm)

[personal profile] twostringsonebow 2017-07-14 01:11 am (UTC)(link)
A social or romantic engagement.

But you don't kiss for social ones. Just romantic. Which this will not be.
twostringsonebow: (47 just sing the next one already)

[........ Liz, you are right in front of him, you can see how red he's getting.]

I would like to think so. Provided it went well.
twostringsonebow: (64 but no one sees me)

[personal profile] twostringsonebow 2017-07-14 02:25 am (UTC)(link)
[he will murder you one day. get that memory squared away.]

... If we both enjoyed it, I suppose.
That's rather vague, I realize, but... one that would leave both of us wanting a second. You can generally tell if a date is going well by how the other person reacts, how much they talk to you or at least by what they say.
Essentially, they look like they're having fun and hopefully you are as well.

and sometimes that might not be enough for a kiss and they're very awkward when they tell you goodnight and you walk home wishing you were dead
twostringsonebow: (51 let it ring out)

[personal profile] twostringsonebow 2017-07-14 02:31 am (UTC)(link)
I would be more surprised if someone hadn't had a bad date once in their life.
twostringsonebow: (57 i love making you believe)

[personal profile] twostringsonebow 2017-07-14 03:09 am (UTC)(link)
Have you ever gone on one, Miss Velveteen?
twostringsonebow: (63 you see it's easy when i'm)

[personal profile] twostringsonebow 2017-07-14 03:09 am (UTC)(link)
