i fully intend to be anyone but that person, no matter what retrospec's intentions are. i still think it would have been simpler to not try and recreate such a person, however.

in any case, i'm fine for now. i can find some comfort in the fact that my past self faced some sort of karma for what he did.

even if part of that karma was in the form of how my life has gone.
