this is the third call i've been on this year revolving around a toaster. here's a psa, and especially to you college kids: use your toaster as intended. it's not there for grilled cheese, not there to light cigarettes, and don't lay them on their sides, kay?

I wonder when heavy duty toasters will be developed. Being able to toast grilled cheese would be nice.

Don't know. Don't have one. Got a microwave, and a full sized oven that be a waste of electricity to use on two slices of bread.

Yeah, alright. If you're answering house calls on fires, you'll hear from me and my homebrew heavy duty grilled cheese toasters soon.

depends on your definition of burned down. all of it was still standing, but a good lot of it sure wasn't habitable anymore

you'd be surprised how quickly appliance misuse can escalate from "i broke it" to "i don't have a house"

that and incompetence, but that's usually one and the same

some really pissed off parents, probably.
