Welcome to Retrospec™, the last social media network you will ever need. You are one of the few selected to test this exciting new platform based on our cutting-edge algorithms. Less than two hundred invitations have gone out, and membership is not currently open to the public. However, we hope you will come to see how useful Retrospec™ is, given time. We have for your use a variety of features such as text, voice, video, and image posts. We encourage you to explore our many options. Please feel free to use this post as a network mingle. Every toplevel can be considered a new post, and threadjacking is permitted. No NPC response will be given. As a reminder, everything besides uploading a profile picture and information was locked until this post. Usernames are the character's full real AU names, not aliases or chosen nicknames or usernames, and seemed to have filled themselves in; nothing characters do can change or obscure their names currently. Oddly, profile pictures still cannot be swapped out at this time, so hopefully you took a good one.

Indeed there are. I'm not going to complain - it gives me more of an excuse to use the app, which is probably what they're hoping for. I'm not sure how much I'd play with the features without someone to see the results.

Sometimes things like this need to stress test before they can open their service up to a wider audience - make sure their servers can handle everyone using them at once. Although less than two hundred people is admittedly a small test group for that, too.

Still, meeting new people is nice enough. I can only imagine all of the other souls on this network that I have yet to met.

That's just it though, right?? This many people isn't really going to stress much...! I wouldn't think, anyway!

If the server is small - or, heaven forbid, old - it might not be clear what it can handle. A network like Facebook requires literal rooms stuffed full of computers; if the resources dedicated to Retrospec aren't plentiful, even a small number of people could cause it to come crashing down. So stress is a real concern. [Alicia, please stop pretending you're exceptional with computers, or you're going to end up biting off more than you can chew.]

I suppose you are, hmm? Once doesn't really count as knowing someone, I don't think. It takes a touch more time than that.

But no, yeah! It does take just a bit more than that! [Not that she would know.] Not that I'm anybody special, or anything! Haha. [Hahahaha. Ha. Ha... sigh. Small talk is hard.] I bet you must get swarmed on other things like Twitter or wherever, maybe someplace smaller could be nice...!
