Unfortunately, I've been stuck with this irritating situation for long enough to know it's not going to be anything straightforward.
It's likely to be something completely impossible to understand, and yet, Retrospec's employees will blame us for not understanding it when we fail to utilize the warning.

Somehow that's not entirely surprising either based on their attitudes towards everything. I take it they're always like this?

They're always useless, yes.
Some of them are more abrasive, or openly mocking.
Wendy and Joanne appear to be the most forthright among them.
But they apparently have rules in place that stop them from explaining anything, or actively helping.
They spoke as though they are doing all they can, but I do not trust any of them.

I see. That makes some sense. I don't blame you-- I find it difficult to put too much stock in what they've said. But at least it appears that in some regards they've been working to keep things together. But that may be for their own purposes. It's certainly not enough to warrant our trust.

They may earn my trust when they are willing to answer my questions.
Or at the very least, speak to us face-to-face, as equals, rather than as ignorant masses to be talked at and subsequently ignored.
And they will certainly not have my trust until the bodies of all on Retrospec are returned to normal.

Most likely the reason they won't speak to us in person is because of how greatly they're outnumbered. Even if there are some who would be willing to let them talk, I'm sure there are some who would take a more radical approach. But I would appreciate a message that isn't just talking circles around an answer in a poor attempt to look more useful than it is.

I would hardly blame any who did take a more radical approach.
If they continue inflicting physical bodily changes without warning, I may yet become one of those people.

It's hard not to feel like they've brought this upon themselves. But I'd also be concerned about what kind of retaliation they might make if they really felt threatened.

At least they would be honest about their actions then.
But given that last time something big with them happened, the ocean vanished and then monsters appeared, it's probably not wise.

It doesn't leave us with many options, but I'm inclined to agree. I prefer useless over dangerous and hostile.

Although, if Jim ever starts talking to us again, many will likely forget reason and want to hit him regardless.

I'll have to do that then. It sounds like they're all very unique characters to say the least. With personalities like that, I'd expect them to clash with one another.

I don't know all the details, but apparently, there was infighting to the point where one of them had their entire family wiped out.
So, there certainly used to be.

That's horrid. Though that might explain why they're so keen to follow whatever rules they have in place, if that could be the result of stepping out of line.

However, I do think their rules are terribly thought through.

No, but as long at they're in place, we probably won't have much luck getting any help from them, frustrating as it is.

We will have to hope one of them has a desire to do the right thing that is stronger than their obedience to badly-designed rules.

I suppose that's still possible. It doesn't seem clear just how many of them there are. There might be a few worth trying to get to know who may be willing to help in the future.

Neither do I. Although I wouldn't say we've met them all yet either. It may be something that makes watching their announcements worthwhile.

I'm waiting for them to slip up, and an inconsistency in their story to happen.

That would certainly stir things up. As if some people aren't already at their limit with them. But I think something like that would bring us one step closer to a riot.
