Hello and happy new year! A lot of poll results came in from R&D and we've almost fixed taste all the way. Horses are almost fixed, too. We've been working pretty much non-stop around the holidays to stabilize everything, so I hope this works! Just so you guys know, while we were working on fixing the original problems we received some alerts of residual effects outside of our usual domain. Don't worry though! Remember what I said a while ago? We're still moving more resources around into better defenses to protect the city from huge storms like last summer. We'll be taking care of that really soon and isolating the unknown problem. I wish I could tell you more, but we're all working overtime here to finish the final stages of a big project. I... must apologize. While I do appreciate chocobos and all they are capable of, I would rather have horses.

Though an ideal solution would have horses returned and chocobos to continue to live alongside them.

1. Horses have a rich history that is intertwined with the course of human development and it would be a shame to let that end.

2. Phrases such as "a dark chocobo", "a one chocobo town" and "don't look a gift chocobo in the beak" don't have quite as nice ring to them as "a dark horse", "a one horse town",
and "don't look a gift horse in the mouth".

3. There are industries built around horses. We cannot simply let those end because people have grown attached to chocobos.

4. Feathers are quite honestly a hassle to clean up.

5. Horses will not attempt to fit your head into their mouth.

But, as I stated previously, the much preferred solution would be for horses to come back into existence and live alongside chocobos.

I admire your dedication to the chocobo cause, it was only proper that I respond just as seriously. Also, my line of work involved horses and currently involves chocobos, so I speak from my own personal experience. But to argue against your counterpoints:

1. While I must admit that your point here is correct, that it's entirely possible that all of our memories have been tampered, for now, we must operate under the assumption that there have been no other animals such as chocobos besides horses. Besides, would it be fair to not allow horses the chance to exist once more? They are a noble beast and deserve the opportunity to roam once more.

2. Beauty is in the eye, or in this case ear, of the beholder. I shall drop this for now.

3. I was speaking more along the lines of people such as horseshoe makers. Those people would remain out of the job if horses continued to not exist.

4. I am glad we are in agreement.

5. I did not say it was anything asides from a love peck, however it grows quite cumbersome having to continually clean my hair as a result of these love pecks. I would rather much prefer a horse's nuzzle.

And if you would like an example of horses and chocobos being able to live alongside each other, should I mention the fruit?

1. Not at all. I am simply a police officer who is a part of the chocobo mounted unit, previously the horse mounted unit. I promise you that I am not a shill.

3. I assume they have other things to make, however that is still a part of their income that would never return without horses.

5. While you shouldn't clean your hair with soap every day as it damages it, you should, at the very least, rinse your hair daily.

We have no guarantee, however it is precedent that should not be ignored.

City official, not a federal official. There is a separation of power between local and national government, after all. And you do have some police officers who would prefer chocobos. But we are all seeking justice here, we just differ on how to achieve it.

If they do vanish, then I will join your cause for them to come back alongside horses.
