Hello and happy new year! A lot of poll results came in from R&D and we've almost fixed taste all the way. Horses are almost fixed, too. We've been working pretty much non-stop around the holidays to stabilize everything, so I hope this works!

Just so you guys know, while we were working on fixing the original problems we received some alerts of residual effects outside of our usual domain. Don't worry though! Remember what I said a while ago? We're still moving more resources around into better defenses to protect the city from huge storms like last summer. We'll be taking care of that really soon and isolating the unknown problem.

I wish I could tell you more, but we're all working overtime here to finish the final stages of a big project. No matter what happens you guys should be safe while we finish up, so just stay calm, okay? Don't get too reckless!

[HE...DID....... we're just lucky he's doing all of this through text, because he probably wouldn't have been able to make it through half of these lies without stammering somehow--]

--ah. Yeah, that would probably be the safer option. They'd need it if they were sparring with somebody else too, right? So the other person doesn't get hurt in the process. Do they have gear to protect their hands, too? From calluses, and accidentally touching the blade? [Because NOT LIKE HE'S GOTTEN A FEW CUTS ON HIS HANDS RECENTLY, NOPE...]

And what about precautions for-- more traditional swords? Fencing foils are thinner, from what I know, so the means to protect yourself from broader blades are probably different, aren't they? Just so my paper covers more ground, of course.

[The cheek and sarcasm that Foggy's voice would be dripping with if they were face to face!]

I'm sure some people wear gloves. Calluses are one of those things athletes have to deal with. You practice swinging a sword or a bat around enough and your hands have to get used to the friction. [Foggy please. Your hands are soft like a baby's.]

What kind of sword are you dealing with? Curvy? Straight? There are a lot of cultures and a lot of different blades out there. Use the wrong one with the wrong form and that's another accident waiting to happen. [If he could just stick a flashlight under his face to make this extra foreboding.]
