well, I guess that settles it... you know, there's a point where denial isn't worth it anymore （＾。＾；） for those who don't know much about Japanese history (like me), this is a Shinsengumi haori, because apparently I really am a century old samurai? except probably an alternate universe one or something. it's weird. either that or my old memories were from a really dedicated historical reenactor w serious delusions also, MY EYES ARE PURPLE NOW. so that's a thing ◔_◔ I guess I get to join the club of other people who have to pretend to be wearing contacts all the time oh! I guess I was also going to ask, how many here have memories that are like... normal, I guess? (‘◇’) well obviously memories of 1860s Japan is weird, but what I mean is that there's nothing supernatural about them. well almost... there's one that seems different. but the rest of them have no super powers, no monsters, nothing like that. it just looks like the past.

The concept of normal seems to change day-by-day.

But that is a very fashionable looking haori. The ends of the sleeves remind me of trees. Or mountains. Or very pointy teeth.

I cannot imagine getting blood on it. It must take a long time to clean.

but I definitely got blood all over it... I have one memory of cutting a guy’s head off while wearing it and honestly I was already pretty messy by then

isn’t it weird? I mean, if nothing else, I wouldn’t have expected anyone in Japan in 1960-something to have purple eyes

Well, I don’t know anything about… your other stuff here, but as far as I can tell, my memories are pretty normal. Kind of old, but no superpowers or anything like that. I was starting to think I was the only one, too.

everyone keeps getting strange powers and several of my friends are actually swords somehow
and so far it mostly looks like I was a completely normal person, and that's what history seems to indicate too.

well, a lot of people have had their eye color change to something weird
mine used to be brown before
so to explain the change it's usually just easier to pretend to wear contacts
or to buy contacts and cover up the new color... either of those two works
I wouldn't call it normal, but it does certainly keep happening

I mean, 'normal' is a bit relative considering all the violence and stuff going on
hell, even the less scary memories are pretty weird
but there are absolutely no vampires so far and I have to admit that I'm pretty happy about that
