For all those of you that I might have beaten into a blubbering pulp before, I apologize. It was my every intention to give you a second chance at redeeming yourself for your prior SHAMEFUL SHOWING. But I can no longer do this in good conscience.

I'd just end up wiping the floor with you too hard.

So you have a pretty good sense of where you stand in relation to other athletes.

For example, there are some you have the skill to aim for now, and some that are far enough above you that to attempt to compete with them would almost certainly be to lose.

will you put up a demonstration some time? oh are you talking like... martial arts?

I'm not sure what purpose a demonstration would serve. But yes, I'm a martial artist. I've been practicing all my life.

is it a family interest?

Not exactly. Neither of my parents are into it, but my grandpa was.

Maybe it skipped a generation, you know? Like genes.

the fact that you share something you like and are good at with your grandpa
that's pretty special
i'm sure he's proud of your achievement. you tell him yet?

I found a good wagashi place here, too, so maybe I should send him some... wait, no. It should be something you can't really get in Japan.

oh your grandpa's japanese
i find that my grandparents don't mind when i send them something that could be found in japan though
it just shows that i'm constantly thinking of home
hmm but sometimes i send them pictures or postcards or fridge magnets from here
sometimes some sweets
