Hello, everyone! As you've probably noticed, we've been having a few problems - I mentioned earlier that something got knocked out of balance, and we had to recalibrate, but in a few days we should be able to drop the emergency measures. Please be aware that there is an incoming storm, class four. General orders for that kind of thing are to report to management for any known threats and follow instructions, but so far what's known is "that might be a little annoying" and "hope it isn't". Theoretically it'll probably be related to the holiday, I think, because a large group of souls focused through the needle of a pin on one thing can sort of shape a thing around them. That's sort of a really inaccurate way to put it on the technical side of things, but I think it's the easiest way to understand it! At any rate, we'll know more once we're in the thick of things. Please take care as usual; resources aren't exactly what some of you seem to think they are, and we had to expend rather more than usual in the past month or so to keep things with a few of you steady. For what it's worth, I think whatever I was involved in was more or less monochromatic. That or my past self was color-blind.

Yeah. I'm kind of worried about that part of AU!me. But at least he could defend himself.

Total colorblindness is pretty rare. Everything was black and white? I thought Santa's uniform looked different.

I'm pretty sure that I at least had a sword, but I still haven't gotten anything at all from Retrospec. Maybe I need to update my mailing address.

Well, I guess not everything was. But everyone I've remembered so far dressed in black and white, Santa included. So maybe I was just red-green colorblind? (I mean, I still thought of Santa's flaming aura as red, but I could've been seeing that in my mind's eye.)

OK well there was the treason thing of course.
Ummm
I used to wear black and white.
There were a bunch of burly gentlemen (who wore black and white) who really hated me.
I was in a group with some superpowered people (who wore black and white) and we like broke into someplace?
I had to go meet this young lady who was really fancy and rich or something, and I was kind of scared to meet her, but then she was nice so it was OK.
And there was some stuff about swords. Like, transforming swords, or magic swords.
And I had tons of chores to do all the time. Santa wasn't the one who directly made me do them, but he was in charge of the whole...thing.
I'm trying to remember if there's anything else. (If we happen to have poor memories in general, is it possible we're going to re-forget some of this stuff?)

Huh. Okay. Chores and Santa make sense. Breaking into people's houses is also in line with Christmas gifts. Maybe somebody got swords as a gift. I don't know. It was also hard for me to retain everything, but after the first few, I've started writing down what I remember. There was a train in the subway that was a good refresher, if you saw it. I was able to re-watch some memories, and sketch out portraits for prominent figures.

I should also mention that I heard from someone else on Retrospec that she and her friend also wore the black and white, and they met a mean clown (?) who also wore it, plus he had the same extra coat that Santa does. And they (she and her friend, not she and her friend and the clown) were trying to rescue somebody.

No, I haven't been down there. Wasn't it dangerous?

Maybe she would be a better person to talk to than me. I also wear a lot of black- it keeps the heat in- but nothing like the Santa coat.

It was sort of dangerous, yeah. But I felt that it was worth it.

Your past self did? Or you just mean in general?

Oh, no, I know. I mean, it probably was. (Or is? I don't know, is all that stuff still accessible?) I just figured I shouldn't go, since I probably wouldn't be able to take care of myself if anything happened.

My past self wore a school uniform most of the time. 11th grade, high school. But me in general, right now, I like black.

I haven't actually checked if the subways are still accessible. Most of the time I didn't go in alone, though. There were always people wanting to partner up for safety. I could go with you?

I guess you and I probably weren't from the same world after all. I mean, unless all this North Pole drama was going on without your knowing about it.

Probably not. It was never snowing in any of mine, even when the weather was cold.

I don't mind going again. Do you always do that thing where you laugh when you're not happy?

Oh it wasn't really snowy there either in my memories. Maybe we were inside the hollow Earth or something.
