Right, I've read the guide and it was absolutely how I informed my approach to this app and what had happened. As glad as I'll be to see my friends back, I'll be almost as glad to get a better understanding of what happened.

I've got plenty of pictures from at least one of the groups.

Yes, my closest friend is the one that was sending me pictures from the fourth group. And... so I saw that... It's strange isn't it? But I suppose it also makes sense in a strange way.

I was thinking how strange it is that there would be the coldest of cold places, and a forge in the same general area... But I was told once that Retrospec could either bend reality... or make you see reality for what it is.

This just seems to be another part of that.

for one the forge is accessed underground through the subways and i don't remember their travel time
but the arctic is at least 8 hours away
i'll give you that the climates still shouldn't technically be within that distance of each other but there is that
also the fact that these areas were not previously accessible to us before - i realized i haven't left the city in about a year and that's weird for me

so i asked carly about it
you've heard of "unreality twists" right? i went in one back in august and it took me to some alternate ocean
carly said these locations aren't like that. mostly because we could still use our phones and contact people
which makes some kind of sense! there probably aren't cell towers or whatever retrospec uses to power the app in a completely different plane of reality
but in this case i think your second guess is more on point
these places are definitely reality apparently
just parts we hadn't seen yet
like ants that don't know anything besides their colony
