OHMIGOODDDDDD I THINK I BROKE HIM!!!!!!!
[Attached to the sudden message to the network late at night is a photo of Kei Shiragaki underneath a massive pile of boxes that had toppled over at a storage unit somewhere in the middle of town.
Felicia, panicked, did the first thing that came to mind:
Post to Retrospec.]
I swear to god if this is that doll I'm going to scream. Maybe it really was cursed. Maybe we shouldn't have tried to take it from it's lair...
[Following this is more rambling, babbling text message that string together into something nonsensical. Someone, help this girl.]

The Santa is with you?
[The panic that lit Felicia's heart made it difficult for her to see the humor in the situation. Another time, perhaps, and she would have let out a wry giggle. But the storage complex was too deserted, and the hour was too late for comfort to be found in such humor. Nightmarish visions of the Santa impaling Kei on the hatstand threatened to bubble to the surface-- and Felicia, with her imagination too vivid, had some difficulty fighting them down.]
When we get you out of there, you can have the Santa.
[She swore, and she meant it.
Perhaps Kei would appreciate it more than she did.]
no subject
Oh, well. She's further panicked. His hands open in surrender as he accepts that he just isn't very good at comforting people in any sort of situation. Kei takes a moment, though, to try to think of something comforting to say in a few words.
Muffled: ]
No. He's gone. [ Nailed it. ]

[Felicia exclaimed with renewed vigor, huffing and puffing as she tackled the pile of boxes. It would be real trouble for all of them if they were attacked by Santa, and it was her duty to prevent that from happening.
Finally, she managed to remove one box.]

Felicia. I'm going to end up haunting this storage unit. [ More his supportive statement that he does not think this is going to work, and maybe best that they wait someone to come help them. Since he's finally lifting his arms up to see what he can move, but since he had rested them over his chest -- like an asshole -- he finds them now trapped under the shifting boxes.
Great. ]

The only one who might be coming is someone called Andrew Hewley. He seems like a good person.
no subject
Okay. I will just wait here, then.
[ Though, air might eventually become an issue. Something is probably sprained if not broken. The present dark pressing down all around him is suffocating in its own right but, eh...
Whatever. ]
no subject
Hello? Felicia? It's Andrew.
[ If she had already been talking about creepy dolls? Might do best to not scare her out. Common sense, he thought. ]
no subject
[Felicia looked up from the pile of boxes she was trying to push, her pink hair tangled and limp from the exertion.]
We're right here! Thank you so much for coming.
no subject
Kei-san?
[ he's also pretty winded from all this, give him a minute to catch his breath ]
Just... what the fuck is going on here?
no subject
I'm Kei. How do you do this evening? Felicia is a little panicked, please console her a little. And maybe save me. The latter is more pressing but I feel I should say we should do the first...
[ And well, there are now a new voice other than Felicia's and Andrew's. Muffled, though, they are. One sounds familiar but -- his lips press together as he just decides to answer the question: ]
Internal bleeding. Probably. [ Doubtful, but he feels he should liven things up. ]
no subject
[ Console her a little... Kei. ]
We will get him out.
Kei, my name is Andrew. Should we call for an ambulance?
And, Felicia, what is in the boxes, do you know?
[ He's... just going to give Sena a wave. At least there are no stairs to count this time? But knowing what is in the boxes will determine how to move them, after all, and how fast. It seems to him an important starting point. ]
no subject
[she explained, trailing off in worry as she listened to Kei's muffled words. Her heart pitched at the sound of 'internal bleeding', but Andrew's firm, steady voice prevented her from immediately panicking.]
I-I don't know what all Dad packed. It's probably stuff from our home up North.
[Over a decade's worth of age and dust had settled on the old, fond memories from when her family was still complete-- oh, but this was no time for nostalgia!]
We probably should call if Kei thinks there's internal injuries. I'm not sure my Staff can help with that.
no subject
This really isn't a time to be joking around, Kei-san... Unless you're actually serious?
[ okay yeah in that case he's gonna stand up and crab one side of the a box, checking if it's light enough for him to lift up on his own. ]
And you. [ yes, that girl over there ] Do you really believe that some doll had something to do with all this? Maybe you're just that clumsy.
no subject
No. I'm fine.
[ He hums, but knows that they can't hear it unless he makes it very loud. And Kei isn't sure that he should. ] Mizuki Sena? I'm not being particularly serious, no. I'm apologize for worrying everyone, however. My, my, how embarrassing.
[ Says the box pile as it wobbles. ]
no subject
[ Considering that they can't actually see Kei, yet, starting to remove what's on top of him, now that at least some status has been conveyed, sounds like a good plan. He stands across from Sena over the box, and tilts his head. Together? ]
Chances are that if it was her clumsiness, then it would not have been only him buried under the boxes. [ Moving and talking at the same time, can do. ] That said, this is the second time you've mentioned the doll, so I'm assuming there is a story there. Any chance we can get an outline?
[ See, after the fire breathing horses, the baby dragon, the phoenix, and the attacking elephant statue? Cursed Santa doll doesn't even seem that strange. ]
no subject
[Felicia breathed in, letting allegations of her apparent clumsiness roll off of her as clean as rain-- because she wasn't as clumsy as her spaciness conveyed, not really-- and instead focused on Andrew's request.]
Mister Shiragaki was looking for a cursed doll earlier today, and his comments on Retrospec made me remember this creepy old Santa my Dad kept in storage for forever. I showed him a picture and he decided that it probably was cursed.
I just wanted it off of my hands, because it's not like Dad will even know it's gone anyway.
So... we came here and started looking. Then...
[She lifted a hand at the mess, wordlessly conveying the rest of the sordid tale.]
no subject
[ that really is unlucky... too bad sena doesn't believe any of that crap, rolling his eyes at felicia's soddy explanation. he does appreciate andrew's help more tbh, as they work together on shifting the boxes off of kei's poor back. ]
Why do you need it anyway, Kei-san?
no subject
[ There is a shrug in his words even if he cannot be seen. ]
I just was feeling a little interested in something. I would call it a mild interest at best. But anyway, Felicia had a doll she wanted to get rid and also rather frightened of. It seemed like it would work out the best for all of us.
[ Cough. He really should not monologue while buried under boxes. ]
I would also like to not be considered almost dead. I would consider me one-quarter dead, if anything.
no subject
That said. ]
Did you actually find the doll at all?
no subject
[Felicia said after a lengthy silence, looking between the two men and the pile of boxes.]
That's the other reason I reached out on Retrospec. We might need an exorcist if we can't find it.
no subject
[ THIS IS GETTING OUT OF HAND?! and he's staring at y'all with an incredulous look on his face ]
You can't be serious. Even if we can find someone like that, the stupid doll might've walked away by now because of you guys dawdling about.
no subject
[ A long pause. ]
In my past life. I have no idea how to do it now. [ A muffled chuckle. ] There's no reason to get so panicked. I'm certain that we're all well and cursed now anyway, so there's nothing to particularly worry about now that it's already happened, is that not so?
no subject
But I do know that attacking during a rescue operation is far too standard a tactic to assume that easily that we have nothing to worry about.
[ Army. ]
