You know, I think some April Fool's pranks are okay! Like the silly ones they do on websites or the really good natured kind. But I am LESS okay with someone changing the ENTIRE layout of our entire building and giving us treasure maps to go around it which for the record my brother-in-law did and it's a pain!! There's some weird effects coming in from outside this planet at the moment, although they'll mostly miss the city itself. There'll be a localized temporal storm, but it shouldn't be more than a mild irritation. It looks like it's just going to yank some things around and send them on through. I think Maurice is going to call out sick that day, or if I were him I definitely would. Hey, I kind of want a four-leaf clover. I know that's more last month than this month, but still. If you find one, pass it along. Also, I want to do a cutesy April Fools thing, so don't get too mad! [Vera's been around long enough to have a handful of people she's closed to, but this might be the first time anyone's ever outright said they wanted to be her friend. A strange, fuzzy feeling stirs in her chest, and she has to reread Orihime's text a couple times.]

[Vera is quick to shoot her the address before heading to the bathroom to change and redo her makeup. About 45 minutes later, she's dressed in a cute white skirt and jacket sitting at one of the coffee shop tables, looking over the menu.]

It's hard to miss Vera, all decked out in white. So Orihime marches right over when she spots her, waving happily. ]

[Orihime's hair could already be spotted a mile away, yet the loud colors of her outfit make her somehow even more visible. It's a cute style, though, definitely befitting of her personality.

She gives her a wave with reserved enthusiasm, tucking her phone back into her purse and offering her a menu.]

Not at all. In fact, I just sat down. Did you find the place okay?

[ She'll take the chair opposite of Vera, plopping down quite happily. ]

I did! It's pretty convenient, but I don't think I've been here before. I'm excited!

If you're a coffee person, you'll probably love it as much as I do. I'm starting to worry the staff here will start to know me by name.

[ She giggles and picks up a menu. ]

[She sets her menu down.]

The Mocha is to die for. They use imported dark chocolate from Belgium instead of that nasty syrup most places have. Or, if you're feeling bolder, the Vienna is quite the rush.

Oh. Oh! Do you think they could mix both?

They both sound so good...and is that a cinnamon roll croissant?

That would be three shots of espresso. You might have a heart attack.

Just make sure you know you can handle caffeine before going for it. I don't want to have to explain to Soleil that her roommate exploded from too much coffee.

[ Poor Soliel. Poor Makoto. No, she'll be able to handle it just fine. They have a coffee machine in their apartment, though she doesn't normally get fancy stuff like this unless she goes out. ]

Yes! I think we're ready to order. I'd like the mocha latte and two of the cinnamon roll croissants, please!

I've been good! Just back doing school...oh! And I got to have a table at the farmer's market for the first time, so that was a lot of fun!

[ She happily lays her hands on the table. ]

That's cool! I have another friend who sells vegetables at the farmer's market. It looks like fun.

[As for Soleil, that draws a short sigh.]

We met on Retrospec, then in person at a party not long after. I'm pretty sure she asked me out the moment she saw me.

Wow, really? I saw a lot of vegetables! What's your friend's name?

[ Retrospec and a party, that sounds nice! But it's that last part that makes her stop. ]
