So it's been more than a few months since I offered this, but last year I gave a gun safety class at DeadEye. If you've gotten a firearm from Retrospec and want to make sure you're handling it properly I'd be happy to give you a few tips and show you how to use the range if you want to practice. I'm usually at DeadEye on Wednesday evenings, but if another evening or Saturday would work better for you, just let me know.

Also, I ran across a string of numbers recently and don't even know where to start trying to figure out what they're for. So any suggestions as to what they could be would be welcome. They were hidden inside a piece of jewelry, to give at least some context.

Are the numbers off that necklace you were examining in the lab?

Yeah, that's the one. I realized it might be hollow and x-rayed it.

I wonder why the numbers are on there in the first place. What do you already know about the necklace?

No idea. And nothing really. Just now that I have the necklace and have seen it, I can recall Ryuuzaki wearing it near constantly.

What does the necklace look like again? I really wasn't looking at it when you were working on it.

OK, so I googled "Two dragons eating each other" and the first result is "Ouroboros." Does that word mean anything to you? Also, have you seen that image anywhere else in your memories? According the wiki, and ouroboros is a symbol in alchemy. Is there alchemy in Ikou's world?

Isn't that Greek or something? But no, it does not. And no, there isn't any alchemy in his world.

Though I have seen the two dragons in the infinity shape before. As a tattoo. Though the tattoo is slightly more ornate than the necklace.

And on whom did you see this tattoo?

Maybe it's a symbol thing between him and his friend? Perhaps Ryuuzaki was like, "I don't want to get a tattoo, so I'll wear the necklace instead." Though that doesn't explain the numbers...

Combination code to something?

It'd have to be an electronic lock then. Even if you remove a digit from each set, the numbers are still too large for a combination lock.

Maybe it was a very special lock?

Could they be case fail numbers? You said Ikou was a detective. Maybe they were super important file numbers?

That is a weird way to keep track of case numbers. I mean, it's a weird way to keep track of any numbers in general, but case numbers just... doesn't seem to fit either.

Maybe he was really into old cases?

Though there is that thing that happened 'twenty years ago'. Not that I know what it is. Just that something happened then in relation to the builk of the memories I'm getting from him.
