04/13 near TisseSo it's been more than a few months since I offered this, but last year I gave a gun safety class at DeadEye. If you've gotten a firearm from Retrospec and want to make sure you're handling it properly I'd be happy to give you a few tips and show you how to use the range if you want to practice. I'm usually at DeadEye on Wednesday evenings, but if another evening or Saturday would work better for you, just let me know.
Also, I ran across a string of numbers recently and don't even know where to start trying to figure out what they're for. So any suggestions as to what they could be would be welcome. They were hidden inside a piece of jewelry, to give at least some context.

If it's a library call number, a net search says that top code belongs to 'Phrenology' in the DDC, so I dunno if what you would find would be any useful.
You find this inside something Retrospec sent you? Something about Ryuuzaki's life?

It's a silver necklace with a dragon pendant. I found the numbers when I x-rayed it.

Okay, I learned a new thing today. Nothing to do with the topic at hand, but there we go.
Right. Focus. If whoever did this went to all the trouble of inscribing the number in such a permanent way, then my first guess is that it’s something that’s never expected to change. The format might point to a combination or passcode, but those are so easily changed, it would render the necklace worthless.
Wrong grouping of numbers for a map coordinate. Wrong grouping for a US SSN. Wrong number of digits for a Japanese ident card number. Hmm.

Actually. There really isn't any reason for me to try to figure out what this number is. Even if I figure it out, it's not like I can go to were it leads.

You want the answer anyway. Nothing wrong with that. Even if you can't go there, if it tells you a place, that's an answer to something. This is a mystery to be figured out.
