hey! a while back at the beginning of the month i talked about getting people together to start forming a training coalition/volunteer crisis response team or whatever (this thing) and then this whole month went completely stupid as usual.
so anyway i still want to do that! i know everybody who replied thought it was a good idea and i am hoping to do the first meeting maybe in the first or second week of may and we just hope that the city is a lot less annoying next month.
maybe may 6th or something?
until then if you did not talk to me about this already and you're interested in training and organizing and being part of a crisis response team let me know.
if you already did, do me a favor and fill out the following so i can sort everybody? that would be helpful.
name:
age:
date you received the retrospec app:
abilities:
other skills/strengths:
do you work well with big groups or small groups:
other notes:
…anyway yeah! any other questions i guess you can ask them here.

i was talking to matt about that, sort of. figuring out how to work with people off the app and everything. that would be a huge help since our priority is to also keep non-app people safe, too.
thank you. i'm hoping it turns into something good and not just something that falls apart later.

I like it better.

with everything the way it is, we really need to start trusting each other and i think a lot of people think of police as people who are going to stop us from using our powers and weapons.
especially since some of them are pretty unconventional.

And, frankly, yeah. My job is to keep people from needing to use their powers and weapons. But I can only do so much to stop that.
On the topic of unconventionality, though? No matter how ridiculous it is, I keep trying to encourage people to register their weapons with the city anyway. They'll do it, it's ridiculous, but they will.

what's the point of registration? just to make sure we aren't charged with illegal contraband?

If you need a different reason, it does make it easier to get back property if it's stolen. And we've found it's possible for these items to be separated from their owners.

Let's start with 'what weapons did Retrospec send you, then?'

You're one of the people that thinks the person you're seeing is really you, then? That you two are one and the same?

Hunh?
Your...other self? Was already reincarnating?

versions of me died, but i remember those versions dying? and then my other body woke up inside the medium and stuff and that is how i became a god. it happened to all of us.
and then we learned that the universe was sick and we had to bail, so we headed for a new one and it took three years, but eventually we figured it out.
more or less.

Let me say that I dont doubt that this is intensely personal and traumatic for you, and I don't mean to belittle the impact of what you're remembering.
But what the fuck
How do you even...cope with that?

i think if i spent too much time dwelling on how horrible everything was back then i would not be able to move forward and grow from it.
but i also know that it was me because it's believable. i recognize myself in everything that i remember as a thing i would have done in a different lifetime.
