hey! a while back at the beginning of the month i talked about getting people together to start forming a training coalition/volunteer crisis response team or whatever (this thing) and then this whole month went completely stupid as usual.
so anyway i still want to do that! i know everybody who replied thought it was a good idea and i am hoping to do the first meeting maybe in the first or second week of may and we just hope that the city is a lot less annoying next month.

maybe may 6th or something?

until then if you did not talk to me about this already and you're interested in training and organizing and being part of a crisis response team let me know.

if you already did, do me a favor and fill out the following so i can sort everybody? that would be helpful.

definitely cat-bat.
but having a licensed nurse would actually be really useful, too. we have some of the police force on our side, but medical professionals should be part of it, too.
i would say a day watch would help but so many of us are around and spread out i wonder if it would work.
unless we set up little squads in all districts.

So what if your'e talking squads and such are you planning to have people do active patrols? Seems to me it makes more sense just to have people able to respond more organized if something comes up.

I'm only a few classes away from the license, I stepped back from it back then because, well, I had other things I intended to do.

active patrols would be great if that's realistic but a lot of us also have school and jobs and stuff.
so it's more like superheroes? we're on call 24/7 and ready to spring into action. so patrolling but not patrolling specifically if that makes sense.
what other things? or is that personal?

It's not really *personal* it's just not important... or something someone my age should be telling college students. I got enough to pass with a four year degree after a lot of procrastinating elsewhere, by then I was feeling tired and self-conscious, and so I just ducked out with that only mostly done. There's no grand story. Other things just seemed important at the time, but they just really weren't things I should've been caught up in.

understood. i get that, kind of. i wasn't always entirely sure i was going to go to college even after i got accepted to the university here.
what is it they say? it's never too late to go back? i think that applies here, too.

No, not explicitly... Though I'm not really sure about it either.

If you've got people willing to go along with your organization though, that's all the better.

the title isn't as important as the cause.
that is all i am thinking about at the moment.

Not like I've done a lot of optics work, I guess I'm just thinking that a young face of something like that feels weird.

Maybe I'm just outdated where kids have as much responsibilities and superpowers a they do now.

it makes you wonder which parts will keep changing and what will stay the same, doesn't it? maybe that's just me.

Some of those parts are choices. Like I said, some things are immutable - but then, I'm older.

normally i would say that doesn't mean much but i think in this case you might be right.
i still have a lot left to figure out.
not that i always feel 19 anymore, but that's a me problem that cannot interfere with this.
so i get it.

If you wanna go there then I've got forty-one versus a little over two hundred, so I really do get that too.

But you might as well enjoy being nineteen. That was a fun age!

most of my memories are from being sixteen so age is maybe kind of just a thing.
i'm trying to enjoy it as much as i can. i can guarantee that much.

Sheesh, between you and a few others, a lot of people seem to be trending lower. I guess I'm the odd man out here.

Oh no, it's not bad at all! If anything, it's a little interesting. Even if I keep throwing myself off with all these grandparent memories despite my children being the same age as her grandkids.
