Don't bother the techs.

Seriously, don't. I'm not entirely sure what's going on but all I'm getting is that it's the equivalent of being hacked and someone who knows layer theory better than we do is out there screwing things up and tampering with the project.

I don't have a really good update for you guys, but bear with us. Please?

[ might as well know this now before trying it for yourself later. trust him on this. ]

im not sure
i keep receiving clothes from retrospec for some reason
last month i received a doctor's outfit and
some sort of kimono? and a set of bandages and body paint

i don't want to think i was a cosplayer though
it's probably from some play like you said
but why does yours have a wig? did you go to an all-boys' school?

[ because that's obviously the logical explanation why a boy like li would have to dress up like a girl. of course. ]

[This is true! No point going through that effort to have it be for nothing, after all.

But god, if only that was the answer for this, because it'd make a lot more sense than whatever the hell his memories were trying to imply.]

No, definitely not. The girl I know definitely had the same uniform I did, and she said she remembered me transferring to her class, too. She was

ah

dressed in a prince outfit, though. So it could have been a gimmick, or something like that.

A cosplayer isn't as bad as other things you could have been, though. I can't imagine what sort of play would require a doctor's outfit, kimono and bandages, aside from maybe a monster or horror production.

defying gender roles
not bad

a movie production with those genres doesn't sound too bad though
my school was a performing arts academy of sorts so im not surprised
still, i can't really complain about getting clothes from retrospec all the time
i know some people who'd gotten guns from their mailbox, even

[personal profile] cardcaptured 2018-06-04 02:49 am (UTC)(link)
It wasn't by choice. I-- the other me, rather-- he wasn't very happy over the whole thing. And honestly, I don't blame him.

[I mean, LOOK AT THIS THING]

That doesn't exactly surprise me. I mean, I got my sword from the mailbox too. Retrospec doesn't seem very shy about handing out weapons to people. I personally wouldn't mind more clothing, just as long as it looked normal and actually fit.

it doesn't really look that bad
but if you're forced into it i can see why you wouldn't like it

well, getting any form of weapons training should be beneficial since there are monsters popping up these days
clothes that don't fit you can be weird though
have you gotten outfits that actually suit you yet?

... that's true. When I first heard about it, I thought the idea was crazy, but these days I'm happy with whatever means of protection they give back to me. It's better to defend myself and the people that I care about than have nothing at all. Especially if they keep sending us on those dangerous missions.

I think the reason the outfit doesn't fit is because it was something the other me wore in elementary school, though. I'd say I'm a lot taller now than I was when I was ten, but it still makes me wonder why they'd bother to give it back in the first place.

... anyway, no, I haven't gotten any other clothing aside from this yet. The only non-weapon things I've gotten so far have been a pencil case and a teddy bear, but those at least have some use and meaning.

maybe that outfit was that important to you in your past life?
or maybe retrospec was just clearing out your past self's wardrobe, idk

you did have those magic sensing abilities back in respatrum, right?
having that and a sword should give you the upper hand on what's to come

I doubt it. I can't see how an embarrassing costume from an elementary school play can be important. Honestly, there's some things Retrospec should just leave where they were and not bother to bring back.

But it's not

[He stops himself there, though, before he completely refuses it's magic, because all things considered-- he really didn't have an excuse anymore. Witches in the woods and curses aside, there was no rational way to explain pulling an entire sword out of his body, not to mention generating a whole light show beneath his feet...]

... I did. These senses aren't really consistent though, so while I may be picking up... magic, it's hard to tell what triggers it and what doesn't. [Because CLAMP don't explain shit]

It'd be nice to tell what is about to come, though. For the longest time, I was concerned it was going to be another monster invasion, but-- I keep seeing Zee mention 'layers'. I feel like I may have missed something, somewhere.
