... Help.

Kenta Ooshima shared a photo.

Would anyone have any idea of how to make this thing work?

[Bloody hell he can't even use a washing machine...]

OK mate...

Step 1: Separate all your clothes into different piles according to colors: white, lights (lighter colors), darks(blacks and dark blues), and colors (prety much everything else). I'm just going to assume here that since your rich, you have a lot of clothes.

Step 2: Take one of those piles, and put them in the washer. Close the door.

Step 3: There should be some sort of detergent to put in it. I suggest for simplicity sake, gets those tide pods so you don't have to measure out the detergent. If you don't have those: powder detergent- use the scoops and fill it to the line according to the directions on the box. Liquid detergent- fill the cap according to the directions on the bottle. Less soap= small amount of clothes. more soap= larger load of clothes.

From the looks of the picture, that little drawer on the top right hand corner, yeah, open that. Pour the soap into the one labeled detergent. Don't put it in the one that says bleach or oxi-clean. And then close it.

Step 4: Push the power button

Step 5: You need to make sure you are indicating to the machine what kind of clothes you have inside of it: white/colors/darks. The temperature of water: hot/cold/warm. And How you want it washed: Normal/delicate/rinse.

Temperature wise: mostly everything is done in cold. You can do white in warm or hot.

Pretty much, read the labels on every piece of clothing and you should know how to wash each item.

Do you have a dryer or do you hang your clothes? (You might just want to hang them to avoid shrinking them on accident tbh.)

Step 6: Once you've figured all that out, push the START button.

Well, definitely don't put the the dry clean stuff in the wash.

Symbols? It isn't written out in English?

Is there anything in your laundry room labeled TIDE or ALL? I'd suggest other detergents, but I don't see you using anything so cheap.

Do you need me to stop by after work?
blondferret: (i got you)

I'll be by after work. In the mean time, try to sort your clothes into piles.

ACTION

[Derek arrives back at the apartment building around 5:30pm. He drops his bag off at his apartment, grabs his own detergent and dryer sheets and walks over Kenta and Jirou's place. He knocks on the door and waits. Hopefully Kenta was successful in sorting his clothes.]

[Derek enters the apartment and enters the laundry room.]

Well, as long as you don't mix colors with the white, you're mostly fine...which... where is your white pile.

[Derek turns in a circle at the laundry room.]

Oi... what happened in here?

Re: ACTION

I can understand the separating the tops and bottoms in certain situations but that...

[Derek points to the pile of 'no labels.']

That is going to be a challenge to figure out. My suggestion is to wash the clothing we can that does have labels. An the no labels... we could guess how to wash them, run everything on delicate and hang dry it. Since you have a front loader, you have a less chance of something getting caught in the agitator. But I know for a fact that anything silk has to be hand washed.

[Derek point to the laundry room sink.]

You can put the silks in a pile next to the sink. And anything else we're not sure of we can hand wash.

Re: ACTION

[Derek lets out a sigh. Wow, this was going to be more challenging than he thought.]

This is what happens when you cut off your tags...

[Derek looks at the pile of silks.]

Wow... you guys had your maids washing that much stuff by hand all the time?

[Derek picks up one of the silks. Oh man this stuff is expensive.]

I don't even feel comfortable hand washing this stuff. It's too nice. How long do you think Jirou can go with out wearing silk until we figure out another way to wash these... like hire someone who actually knows what they are doing...

Maybe we can wash like... two? Hand washing two of these won't take too long.

[Derek picks up one of the silks.]

Which ones does he like, but not necessarily love, just in case we accidentally wash it wrong...
blondferret: (i got you)

Re: ACTION

OK, so lets put that in the sink and we'll hand wash that after we load the wash. So... which load to you want to do first? Colors? Whites?
blondferret: (you can't be serious)

Re: ACTION

[personal profile] blondferret 2018-06-22 07:34 am (UTC)(link)
[Derek looks at the pile of clothes.]

Yeah, this is a lot. Start tossing the lights into the washer and lets put the colors...

[Derek picks up a dark shirt and tosses at en empty corner.]

Over there.

[Derek gets down on he knees and starts sorting. Tossing lights into the washer.]
blondferret: (i got you)

Re: ACTION

[personal profile] blondferret 2018-06-24 08:38 am (UTC)(link)
[Once everything is sorted and the washer is filled with the first load, Derek closes the door and grabs his box of tide pods.]

OK, now for the soap.

[Derek pulls out a pod and hods one up.]

Don't eat this.

[Derek pulls open the small drawer and puts it into the spot for the soap and then closes it.]

Now to reduce the risk of ruining anything I'm going to set the clothes to colors, delicate, cold...

[Derek starts pushing buttons and turning dials.]

And then you push the start button. Want to do the honors?

[Derek points to a small button with a blinking light.]
blondferret: (disappointed)

[Good job Kenta, feel accomplished.]

You DON'T eat it. That's the thing. Wait, you never saw the thing on the internet where these kids were eating Tide pods as a dare?
blondferret: (amused)

Yes people did that, and yes, they put it online. And clearly there is no logic behind it besides being stupid teenagers. I'm pretty sure some ended up in the emergency room.
