Kiyotaka Ishida | Moral Compass ([personal profile] steadycourse) wrote in [community profile] retrospec2018-08-11 12:17 am

text;

I'm assuming that others also received a word, mine is 'beta!' I'm still uncertain what that really means, but maybe we should do a tally and go from there!

Anyway, I do have two other questions that I wish to ask! So, I'm going to ask!

Question 1: Has anyone heard of the name 'Kiyotaka Ishida?' I assure you that is not my name, I'm Kiyotaka Ishimaru, but I've been getting strange messages about him! From what I've gathered, he's a college student with blonde white hair.

Question 2: How would you define a 'moral compass?' Is it really possible to be the um, best in that? An ultimate moral compass??

I don't think you want to know what the whole 'beta' thing means...

Also to answer your first question: hearing about that makes me feel more and more like I was right all along. And I do remember you having that hair color, but I thought that the last time we met, you decided for a change. Or well, maybe I just didn't want to think about it too hard.

Supposedly I'm a beta too...

Some other guy was going off about Omegas being a bad thing...

Nitemares apparently

Kiyo...oh gosh...Is it okay if I call you Kiyo? or Ki?

I don't think you can have the "ultimate moral compass"

Can one compass point north better then another? Well one can NOT work but I don't think you can gauge it, especially if morality is relative.

Usually it refers to like... sexual stuff.

And I want to think so, actually.

I don't know either...but I did manage to get him to say that Omeags would have horrible nightmares bad enough that they would want death.

So we have to look out for those poor souls!

Why look to the law for morality at all? What is legal, isn't necessarily moral.

Is it a good idea to follow the law, yes, but if you asked a criminal. They would tell you the problem is that they got caught, not that what they did is wrong.

I'm not explaining ABO to you. Unless you really want me to? Someone might get mad at me if I do, though. ☆

It's not a matter of preference... but rather, which is fabricated or not, I guess? Because it kind of scares me if memories can be changed or falsified.

I know! Geez, as if we have enough to worry about without bad nitemares!

Oh I'm not saying they are useful, I'm pretty sure even a theif would say laws are freaking useful, but I don't know if they would say they are moral.

There is the whole "what if a thief stole because he was poor" the law doesn't really solve why he got poor and desperate in the 1st place. The order it brings is to ensure people don't abuse another TOO much...

By law, I don't HAVE to help anyone. But if someone never once ever helped another we would call them an asshole but we don't write laws forcing them to help another do we?

most religious figures are
in a sense
"ultimate" moral compasses for those who believe in them
have you recently become a prophet of sorts?

For the second question: it’s not.

Everything involving moral is relative. There’s no right or wrong answer, only perspectives.

Well, you don't have to be having sex in order to be assigned that sort of thing. Although I kind of hope it's not related to that, since then I'd have to yell about being called a beta.

It's possible... I've thought about it before. Like if our memories in Recolle overall were all fabricated for some reason. Not just any memory altercations, but the ones we have now, before we got the application. I don't like it.

But there isn't! That's the point!

Then you have people who are hungry enough to steal! and if they keep stealing as a way of life; Do you think they would/could stop, if they suddenly weren't poor anymore?

Would you think anyone would care, if they stole again?

Illegal DEFIANTLY! Are they immoral? I don't think so.

I honestly don't have the answer for ya. But, if you were to help other people so much that you couldn't take care of yourself, or those around you...wouldn't that be a bad thing?

re: question 2
why are you so concerned about a moral compass in the first place

If my loved one was in danger because of someone else, I wouldn’t hesitate, neither would I regret hurting them if it meant saving the one important to me.

But that’s me. You can have your own conduct, the same way someone else would or wouldn’t hesitate to hurt you for their cause.

[personal profile] promisedyou 2018-08-15 12:23 am (UTC)(link)
Geez... do you really want to know that badly?

That might be true. But who's to say that those without the application are entirely 'real'? I mean, people who get off the application forget that all of this exists, after all.
