I'm assuming that others also received a word, mine is 'beta!' I'm still uncertain what that really means, but maybe we should do a tally and go from there!
Anyway, I do have two other questions that I wish to ask! So, I'm going to ask!
Question 1: Has anyone heard of the name 'Kiyotaka Ishida?' I assure you that is not my name, I'm Kiyotaka Ishimaru, but I've been getting strange messages about him! From what I've gathered, he's a college student with blonde white hair.
Question 2: How would you define a 'moral compass?' Is it really possible to be the um, best in that? An ultimate moral compass??

Also to answer your first question: hearing about that makes me feel more and more like I was right all along. And I do remember you having that hair color, but I thought that the last time we met, you decided for a change. Or well, maybe I just didn't want to think about it too hard.

So... Ishida is the person I really was? Between these strange messages and what we discussed before...
What about now?
no subject
And I want to think so, actually.
no subject
You mean, you prefer when I was "Ishida?"
no subject
It's not a matter of preference... but rather, which is fabricated or not, I guess? Because it kind of scares me if memories can be changed or falsified.
no subject
Then is my entire life right now fabricated?? I don't like the thought of that!!

Some other guy was going off about Omegas being a bad thing...
Nitemares apparently
Kiyo...oh gosh...Is it okay if I call you Kiyo? or Ki?
I don't think you can have the "ultimate moral compass"
Can one compass point north better then another? Well one can NOT work but I don't think you can gauge it, especially if morality is relative.
no subject
Huh?! Well, I don't see why not! You can call me that. I was often given nicknames in school because my full name was too long!
For this reason, let's say that a person can have that title! I at first thought that being moral was just following the law, but that won't work if the laws are harmful to others! Then is it following the rules until you think they're wrong...?
no subject
So we have to look out for those poor souls!
Why look to the law for morality at all? What is legal, isn't necessarily moral.
Is it a good idea to follow the law, yes, but if you asked a criminal. They would tell you the problem is that they got caught, not that what they did is wrong.
no subject
Ngh, well laws help shape our society! Things would be chaotic without them... and I think we can agree that murder isn't acceptable!
And if a criminal said something like that, it still wouldn't erase the fact that they committed a crime! And it could be very immoral!
no subject
Oh I'm not saying they are useful, I'm pretty sure even a theif would say laws are freaking useful, but I don't know if they would say they are moral.
There is the whole "what if a thief stole because he was poor" the law doesn't really solve why he got poor and desperate in the 1st place. The order it brings is to ensure people don't abuse another TOO much...
By law, I don't HAVE to help anyone. But if someone never once ever helped another we would call them an asshole but we don't write laws forcing them to help another do we?

in a sense
"ultimate" moral compasses for those who believe in them
have you recently become a prophet of sorts?
no subject
But if you're not religious, how would you become a moral compass otherwise?
no subject
it would've been interesting if you had been, though
(a prophet, i mean)
but, well
religion aside
i suppose it'd be by being a particularly
upstanding individual?
a shepherd of the flock, so to speak
leading by example, and encouraging others to
do the same
to keep them on track when they go astray
that sort of thing
well
that's just my guess
i don't know of people who refer to themselves as
a moral compass but
that's what i picture
when i have to think about it
is that what you were in a past life, then?
a moral compass unto others?
no subject
Sorta... that was my title in this elite high school I attended. He was called the Moral Compass for his work on the public morals committee, but since I don't attend school now, I was thinking of other ways to live up to that title.
no subject
Everything involving moral is relative. There’s no right or wrong answer, only perspectives.
no subject
Or is it possible that I could be doing something worse by not hurting someone???
no subject
But that’s me. You can have your own conduct, the same way someone else would or wouldn’t hesitate to hurt you for their cause.
no subject
I'd hope that I wouldn't give someone a reason to hurt me.
There has to be some limit to all this. Like just hurting others for the sake of hurting them is clearly immoral!
no subject
What has you worked up about that anyway?

why are you so concerned about a moral compass in the first place
no subject
It's because my past self had the title of Super High School Level Moral Compass! And while I know that we aren't our past, not completely, shouldn't I at least try to be more like that?
Not to mention, my other friends that hold SHSL titles are the best in what they do... or at least really good at it!
no subject
why do you want to have/be a moral compass so bad in the first place
why SHOULD you "try to be more like that"
no subject
And I have a feeling that it's not an ability I'll magically get one day!
no subject
putting people in time out if they do something bad?
