retrospec | (no subject)

So here's the thing…

We have a lot of work left to do. Those of you who ventured down below got a taste of what we're looking at and hopefully that means we can make better preparations. I'm working on opening a new portal based on your energy readings and getting it to stabilize itself so you aren't stuck down there longer than you have to be. May take a few days, but I'm hoping to get a map drawn up, too.

How many of you have been out to Magatus? You might wanna compare notes…the influence started spreading even further. It's better to bring everything and everyone out there back to the city where we can put up forcefields and I can monitor from here.

So what am I saying? I need two teams, a rescue team and an exploration team. Take some time to decide, figure out your skills, organize and arm yourselves. Assignments will go out when you're ready, and when I'm ready.

Yeah, I learned the first one the hard way, body gets super sore, then...yeah it gets ugly if I push myself after ward.

seems like i'll be getting a massive sword at some point

i had a cat who wasn't actually a cat but instead some kind of angel or something?
her name was morgrim and she was adorable

i've already got three perfect cats of my own
and i run an adoption group for them
so i'd say i've gotten pretty good at posting cat pics online!

Do they like cuddles? My brother has a cat that hates everyone.

[He'll send over three pictures - the first is of a very fluffy and angry-looking gray cat who is missing an eye and part of her ear, the second is of a sphynx cat who also looks mad at the world, and the third is of a perfectly normal tuxedo-colored cat who appears to have flopped on the floor in preparation for belly rubs.]

The second I went to his house that cat wanted to kill me, and as far as I know, he only likes 5 people at most.

she was in pretty bad shape when she was brought in
needed extra care so i fostered her for awhile
problem was that she was older and kind of fussy
so we didn't think she'd get adopted
i loved having her around so i took her in myself!
i don't really know what happened to her though

Yeah, he does. I just get scared of his evil cat though.

He also got an owl, I like him better.

Has she warmed up since you found her?

[Since he lived in the streets for a while, he is always wondering how long it takes someone to adjust to a clearly better environment, since he struggles every so often]

she was really angry at first and didn't like me
but she slowly got used to me and eventually she would even come sit with me sometimes
not always next to me but in the same room
she's pretty fond of me now though
she likes to sleep on the end of my bed

Other him was a wizard, like, wands and...maybe pointy hats? His owl delivers letters too, not that I have really SEEN it do that, but, hell, it's wizards so why not?

she's doing great yeah!
i've had her for four years now
she's still pretty wary around other people but she's slowly getting used to them!

Yeah, I can only imagine what the poor girl has been through, trusting people must be hard on her.

Lucky that she has you though, so her story should be much happier now :)

Well, it's not ALWAYS hectic, he introduced me to butterbeer! Stuff from his other life, non-alcoholic butter scotch goodness!

what kinds of things can he do?

Oh, well I haven't seen him do TOO much with it.

I've seen him shot fire out of his wand, restrain someone, like their muscles, go all stiff, put some sort of magical shield around stuff...

I think that is about it, that I've seen anyway.

and he's probably capable of a lot more
depending on how long he's been getting memories back and stuff
i'm hoping i'll get back some cool abilities too!

He's been on longer then I have, so yeah, I bet he has lots more.

You're probably going to get your hands on the angel cat at some point!

And if you have a giant sword the size of yourself, I bet some super strength comes with the package to hold the damn thing.
