So here's the thing… We have a lot of work left to do. Those of you who ventured down below got a taste of what we're looking at and hopefully that means we can make better preparations. I'm working on opening a new portal based on your energy readings and getting it to stabilize itself so you aren't stuck down there longer than you have to be. May take a few days, but I'm hoping to get a map drawn up, too. How many of you have been out to Magatus? You might wanna compare notes…the influence started spreading even further. It's better to bring everything and everyone out there back to the city where we can put up forcefields and I can monitor from here. So what am I saying? I need two teams, a rescue team and an exploration team. Take some time to decide, figure out your skills, organize and arm yourselves. Assignments will go out when you're ready, and when I'm ready. That depends. I do not feel alone on the divine plain, do you?

And money is important for people to live a normal life, you are correct. We must pay bills, and buy food, and sustain ourselves. I suppose I just won’t live a normal life any longer.

When I use magic, I feel very much alive, but that is from another world with another set of rules.

I usually feel lonely, what does that have to do with the divine plain?

I guess that would be a different life...you sure about it?

Don't get me wrong, I sort of understand, I loved following the wind, watching people, sleeping up a tree with the stars out.

I sometimes miss those days even if I still remember how hurt and alone those days were.

Just, please be careful.

I don't want a good heart like yours getting hurt too from the cold streets.

My sweet little one. I have a big, heavy coat with me now, and warmth on my back when I need it. Cold will not be a problem, but thank you.

Faith works differently for everyone. When I think of prayer, I never feel lonely. I know I am surrounded by brilliant energy and genuine thoughts, wherever my legs take me.

I can understand energy, you somehow managed to tap into my Magoi(my magic, I think) last time I was there and made me feel nice and toasty.

I usually only feel that way if I set myself on fire(don't worry mom, I'm immune to fire).

So I don't know if that is faith at work, but yours clearly works.

I think if I had some, I need to return it for a refund.

I don't know what faith is exactly or even if I have any. I've seen magic, demons have tried to kill me, a talking cat, my birth mom's spirit.

How can any of that be faith anymore if I have seen them? Sure, I believed in spirits before the app, but isn't that more of "because I've seen them"?

Faith, Al, is wholehearted confidence in someone or something. Do you not have faith the sun will rise at dawn, then set at dusk?

It can be anything. It can be as tangible as a blade of grass, as it can be belief in yourself, or an idea. Not necessarily outrageous feats, like sorcery, or entities, or talking cats. I can have faith in you, and it doesn’t cease to be valid.

Two days later

[Since then, there may have been some whispers on the street that Al might have been knife version of a fight club. Or joined some shady fire cult worshiping an eye, hell, even going down in a blaze of glory against police to protect someone he loved.

The stories usually end with Al dying in some manner or another.

Al is in his normal human form, unlike the last time he visited and knocked on the front door. One of his hands has a glove on it, that is clearly a bit big for him. He also has his backpack on him, with some gifts he intends to give her]

[ come in come in, she says softly, but loud enough to hear her door being knocked as she waters her flowers.

what strange stories she hears on the street. ]

[Al goes through the door, and although he takes one of his gloves off, the one that is too big for him, he keeps on. He smiles when he sees her, as a human, watering her flowers. His hand itches but, he rather not freak her out in the first few seconds of visiting her.]

Heelllooo, how have you been?

[AL say warmly, even if his gloved hands feels itching]

[ it’s almost an inside joke to herself, but she grins at it anyway. she would ask the same thing, and then looks at him. considers, tilts her head. hmm. ]

Are your gloves mismatched?

[With a sigh carefully takes the glove out...and there is an eye at the back of his hand blinking with irritation and looking around.]

[ she doesn’t quite see it at first and thinks of a rash. that is, until she squints and approaches and

gasps ]

[ the floating eyeballs from last month makes her worry. HAS HE BEEN CURSED ]

I wish I knew, I woke up yesterday, hand itched, then I found this little bastard and freaked out. I had to pretend I had a nightmare.
