So here's the thing… We have a lot of work left to do. Those of you who ventured down below got a taste of what we're looking at and hopefully that means we can make better preparations. I'm working on opening a new portal based on your energy readings and getting it to stabilize itself so you aren't stuck down there longer than you have to be. May take a few days, but I'm hoping to get a map drawn up, too. How many of you have been out to Magatus? You might wanna compare notes…the influence started spreading even further. It's better to bring everything and everyone out there back to the city where we can put up forcefields and I can monitor from here. So what am I saying? I need two teams, a rescue team and an exploration team. Take some time to decide, figure out your skills, organize and arm yourselves. Assignments will go out when you're ready, and when I'm ready. So Magatus...cold and harsh like reality. Got it, I'll have to pack supplies with me, but I think I can help to keep people warm with my magic.

I guess sign me up for either or, not afraid of some action but helping other people doesn't sound like the worst thing in the world.

Especially if I get paid. I don't really imagine my flame magic being used for much. So sure, I'll sit down and listen about a job, might even take it.

Derek texted me a few days ago, hearing that I died protecting my "wheelchair-bound GF" from a gang

[Al DOES spent quite a bit of time with a girl in a wheelchair, in a park, out in the open, hence why some say she is his girlfriend. He also does chase thieves that dare try to rob her]

Some say I died in a gang fight, or fire, or protecting my supposed wheelchair GF from some thieves trying to rob her.

Or apparently getting hit by a bus.

My family freaks out every so often, which just stresses me out!

I have to text them every few hours or else they hear some rumour of me dying and they freak out.

What is causing people to think you have died? Is someone spreading rumors about you?

And yes but I have no idea who, I show up at school and everyone is freaking out. I came home once and everyone rushed me like I came back from the grave.

Even Derek texted me a few days back asking me about it.

But the stories are different, which makes me wonder if more then one person is doing it?

Well, Xioalang, the fire department, the police, probably a gang or two and half the thieves in the city are all pissed at me for some reason or another...with varying degrees of how much of my fault it is.

[Anyone else you want to mention buddy? I think you might have missed a few people...]

I can safely say that Xiaolang wouldn't spread rumors like that.

And I can't really see the police or fire department doing it either?

Yeah, I don't think he is that kind of person, or if he was he wouldn't do it NOW right after we had a sit down.

Police were chasing me like a wanted criminal in January, for no reason.

Fire people hate me cause they think I am after their jobs

The gang...might be after me for money, or almost killing a guy once. So I don't see how these rumours help them.

The thieves, well, I steal from them...trying to clean up my act a bit and they keep trying to rob a friend of mine, rumours don't change that.

So, I don't get the benefit of spreading those rumours...cause, it's not a scandal if people can just call me and see it's fake news.

i wish i could say rumors don't last forever. but if someone is committed to spreading rumors about you, they will keep doing it.

about all you can do at this point is keep showing up all 'surprise, i'm alive!'
