Jim Halloway Research & Development Retrspec Incorporated As of this post all apples, oranges, lemons, and limes have been replaced in-universe as the silly dancing fruits shown above. This means that as with Chocobos all NPCs will insist this is how things have always been and history/movies/etc will back them up. In honor of St. Patrick's Day characters will find a request from Retrospec to upload a picture of themselves to the network in which they are wearing something green. They will find themselves shocked lightly by their device if they try to use it without complying. Rude? A non-triggered memory regain can be earned through participation in this post in honor of Lucy's birthday the holiday with proof of a single thread with at least five comments from your character. If you plan to redeem this, please submit it to our regains page with the explanation of "March freebie". This must be submitted before April to be valid! Regardless of whether or not a character earns the freebie, all characters will find a gold coin with the Retrospec logo on one side and a Chocobo on the other. On the outside edge of the coin they will find "Jim, put a meaningful quote here. - Janet" engraved in a beautiful font. The Chocobo will morph into a horse should your character obtain the memory regain from the event; it will stay a Chocobo if your character does not obtain the memory regain. Every toplevel can be considered a new post, and threadjacking is permitted. No NPC response will be given. Usernames are the character's full real AU names, not aliases or chosen nicknames or usernames, and seemed to have filled themselves in; nothing characters do can change or obscure their names currently.

it could be a positive thing! i haven't actually tried it though...

for *me*! but not everybody is frightened!
some people are perfectly comfortable in peeling the fruit and dicing them up without paying mind to how the fruit's faces fall apart and they stop moving when they're cut open

better, of course! i'm trying to be a comfort. is it not working?

I think I'm going to have nightmares about peeling their faces off.

it'll be fine-- if you peel one now, and see that it's just fruit inside, that might help ease your worries
unless you only have blood oranges or something, i suppose

Perhaps I'll just avoid apples and oranges from now on. I can eat other fruits. Like bananas.

i'm going to miss those fruit though... apple pie and frozen lemonade... i can't even eat dark chocolate oranges anymore without thinking about faces...

I suppose I'll try and think of it like cows and sheep. If it's in juice or pie, that's... not so bad, right? Just as long as you don't have to see where it comes from.

sometimes people feel better talking about something else, sometimes people feel better if they tackle a problem head-on and come to a point where they feel like they're in control of the situation

Hmm... I've never really thought about it.

I suppose there are some things one can't control. But avoiding the subject doesn't seem like a good option, either. Unless there's some reason you can't talk about it...

we can't control the faces, but i can't really see a viable solution at the present either...
for the record, i prefer talking of other things!
if we can't determine the best course of action, i've faith that others will!

Have things improved for you, since you started looking into those sigils?

i want to say yes, but it's hard to tell what sort of luck can be attributed to the sigils
on one hand, i was clearing my winter coats out of the closet today and found 20 dollars in one of the pockets
on the other hand, i've been getting nightmares recently and now fruit have mouths

Would you be interested in a nightmare remedy? It's been 100% verified to work... by me.
