You are goddamn welcome, everyone.
At least now, no matter what kind of a shitstained day you've been having, you can say you saw newborn kittens.
[ timeline-wise this is a little later in the afternoon, so like for high schoolers it'd be after school ends for the day, etc. ]

Do you recommend them for people who are very willing to give attention?

All of that crap about cats being extremely antisocial and unloving is wrong, honestly.
Cats love attention as much as dogs do, they just express it differently.

Hypothetically, of course, if you were expecting a dog as a pet one day... would you be disappointed receiving a kitten?

Humans have familial structures that are more similar to canines, so we can relate to them more.
So a cat can love you more than it loves anything in the entire damn universe, but because of its nature it won't be as social as you would see a dog as.
Or, I guess, they can be? Uhhhh
Think about it in people terms. There are some days where you feel like going out an seeing people, and other days where all you want to do is hang out on your own.
It's like that with cats except in a smaller time scale.
If you were someone who hated cats, maybe.
If you liked both, then probably not?
I might still want a dog eventually though.
And then you can raise a furry family or something.

Mmm. You mean domesticated cats, right? Ferals run in packs, I thought? Jade brought home a flyer for a trap, spay, and release program for colonies of ferals outside of Recollé. And big cats, of course.
Given, I'm not possibly considering adopting any of the above one but... you do seem to be right on that. Mannerisms and behavioral instincts. Bred to live a certain way.
Hm... Do you have a home for the kittens already? Hypothetically speaking of course.

Imagine an apartment? With dogs, it'll be more like a family living the apartment.
But with cats it's more like roommates.
So they can live together and care about each other and function together as a cohesive unit, but they still have their own boundaries as an individual that wouldn't be there in an apartment where an actual family lives in.
If that makes sense???
And it's not like cats don't get super attached to their owners or anything like dogs do.
It's just that because of all of these different things, they express that attachment different.
I have potential homes for four of them, so there's still three I need to find one for.

But, that's just an old story. :)
Can I put my name down as a "maybe" for a home?
no subject
Sure. Just let me know if you change your mind or not.
no subject
What? No! I just don't want to prattle on about something completely irrelevant that only has a thread of connection with the topic of cats!
I would never hold a grudge against them.
no subject
Maybe you wanted to avenge your cows I don't know.

Point is... okay. Yes, I am interested but I'm weighing my options on which pet would be best. Hypothetically, you know.

But, in a situation where I WOULD adopt one, it would ultimately be for their daughter, not for the one adopting.
no subject
Has this hypothetical daughter ever taken care of a baby animal before?
no subject
But, all evidence would point to no.
no subject
Anyway what are your thoughts on possibly getting one of each?
no subject
I think.
no subject
Don't get chickens.
Hypothetically.

[ Think of the floor. The yard. The anything. ]

Which.......... does not seem likely to be a category you would fall under.
no subject
But.
We'll keep in touch, if that's alright. I appreciate you talking me through possible cat-parenthood.
Hypothetically. :)
