One of the visions I had recently certainly was inspiring, so I have been drawing quite a bit of sketches. I ended up turning this one into a painting though, it's been a little distracting. I was wondering if anyone has seen anything similar, which is why I'm sharing one of them here. It was pretty eye-catching how the letters in the sky kept floating upward.

Nina Écarlate Congratulations, you managed to have a vision as weird as mine. Wonder what's up with the floating letters.

It was a pretty odd vision. What was yours of? I don’t know, but it felt a bit otherworldly, I think.

I had a few. One of a dog army being fought off with exploding fruits and another of a head shaped elevator that went from a forest to a lake.

That does sound pretty odd. And also a bit like what may appear in childrens books, perhaps.

I had a hallucinomemory with that exact scenery. Flying letters and all.

You did? That’s remarkable. Nobody has had the same hallucinomemories as me before.

I don't know if remarkable's the word I'd use. That exact scenery. The same buildings and the flying words and everything.

Is that supposed to mean something?

It's not? Is uncanny a better word?

Maybe it is, though I don't know what. There are a lot of people who have visions, but many don't have anything in common. It is definitely noteworthy that we shared one that's so peculiar.

so, do you know if the characters actually say anything or are they just random?

I know the smaller ones more than the larger, because I chose those. They are simply excerpts from novels or poems. The bigger are all words but not everything might make complete sense. I think they might be similar to the smaller though.

what kinda novels or poems do you like, that you would choose those?

Various kinds? For example, works by Issa and Ono no Komachi.

Since I added them to the picture and they’re in my native tongue, yes.

And are you planning on sharing with the class?

Class? Um, it's a lot of different things but poems and novel excerpts. Otherwise it's random sentences and words, really.

uhhh I guess it's kind of obvious that shock is going to be a reaction to those letters in the sky, so

your painting is really lovely

and do you know if this happened in Japan or not? In your vision, I mean

Yeah, it’s not exactly a common sight.

I believe so, but the city seemed to be pretty old-fashioned. A bit like during the time of westernization a hundred years ago.

[ Which also seems shocking and confusing because why would there be letters in the sky a century ago? ]

I can't say that I have. It's far more surreal than anything I've encountered. What I've seen could easily have been in the world we live in.

If not for the letters this would have been too. At least the city looks like what can be seen in old photos.

It reminds me a little of an old "Chinatown" or the like. I have not seen it, but I could imagine it being an ethnic region of most large cities.

I'm pretty sure it's an older Japan and not Chinatown but I can't be entirely certain. But it's only my opinion, and it's not like I know all cultures.

I would put it that you are having visions of another world, not Earth.

Do you think so? Perhaps it is. It did seem a little otherworldly.

It is rather difficult to replicate those lines of text, I would think.
