Hey, Users! This month's wikihow is right over here. In other news, don't you just love our logo colors? Such a nice shade of blue. I'm pretty fond of it myself! You know, Janet has blue eyes. But then, I guess you guys don't know anyone with eyes that color anymore, right? Whoops.

As discussed on the monthly plot post the colors blue and green are now gray - except for the blue on the retrospec application logo and their building sign, although no NPC will be capable of seeing the color in these places. As stated in the plot post, NPCs will also seem to be completely unaware that the colors blue and green ever existed. Oops.

Please feel free to use this post as a network mingle. Every toplevel can be considered a new post, and threadjacking is permitted. No NPC response will be given. Usernames are the character's full real AU names, not aliases or chosen nicknames or usernames, and seemed to have filled themselves in; nothing characters do can change or obscure their names currently. Last's month's application round characters are now capable of changing their profile pictures.

Honestly, I'm not entirely certain. That isn't my specialty, but I believe it's dependent on what cone is missing from the eye. So certain types of color blind people would, or wouldn't.

But how do you mean, this works the same way?

if colorblind people can't see green but they can still see yellow, then maybe that's how it is for us

No, but so little of this app does. What precisely happens when you get hurt?

well, it's like
you know how when you get a papercut it just sort of closes up all on its own over time
like that but with bigger cuts
it hurts and there's blood and stuff but the cut closes up way faster than it should
I haven't tested it out for things like broken bones or anything though, I just found out about it on accident

He'd also definitely have attempted to break a bone or something by now if not for the fact that Kashuu would certainly bludgeon him to death for intentionally hurting himself... so he still isn't quite sure how far this ability goes.]

It sounds like rapid cellular regeneration. I suspect it would help if you'd broke a bone, though I wonder if it would end up backfiring if you didn't know what you were doing and didn't align it properly.

More importantly: I'd be interested to see what would happen if you got sick.

It didn't feel like I had any control over it
so I probably wouldn't make it worse, I don't think

I more meant . . . let's assume you broke a bone, but it wasn't a neat break. I'm curious to see if the bone would realign itself on its own, or if it would force itself to heal at an accelerated rate, whether or not things were lined up properly, thus causing your bone to heal incorrectly.

But as for illness . . . I'm not certain, but my initial guess would be no. Illnesses aren't a matter of a part of your body breaking down, but rather a foreign invasion. It's two different processes.

Is serious injury truly that much of a risk when you can heal yourself afterwards?

It's up to you, of course. But I don't see why you're beholden to someone else's opinions. It's your body.

[If it were any other friend, and any other situation, Yamato would have no problem going into detail about why he cares so much. But this is the one thing he knows better than to talk about, at least in public--so while his response isn't a lie, it's pretty obviously sidestepping.]

Or at the very least, putting us in situation where death or injury is likely to occur. Unless something more direct has happened to you?

well some guys did break into my apartment and attack me recently
I didn't think they came from retrospec at the time but I can't imagine why they would've done it... it was pretty weird now that I think about it

Not that I wouldn't put such a thing past them, but are you certain it wasn't a regular robbery?

[He knows quite a bit less, probably, all things considered. He wants to know what's going on just like everyone else, but his priorities have always stayed fairly close to home, and taking care of his loved ones has always been his main goal. If it had just been him, maybe he would've tried breaking into the Retrospec building or wandering around in the woods himself, but... he's got people to look after, so it's not worth the risk, in his opinion.]

Certainly it's a possibility. Perhaps they want to test your abilities, or see if you've regained any. Violent in what fashion? Are you the aggressor, or simply a witness?
