Welcome to Retrospec™, the last social media network you will ever need. You are one of the few selected to test this exciting new platform based on our cutting-edge algorithms. Less than two hundred invitations have gone out, and membership is not currently open to the public. However, we hope you will come to see how useful Retrospec™ is, given time. We have for your use a variety of features such as text, voice, video, and image posts. We encourage you to explore our many options.

Please feel free to use this post as a network mingle. Every toplevel can be considered a new post, and threadjacking is permitted. No NPC response will be given. As a reminder, everything besides uploading a profile picture and information was locked until this post. Usernames are the character's full real AU names, not aliases or chosen nicknames or usernames, and seemed to have filled themselves in; nothing characters do can change or obscure their names currently. Oddly, profile pictures still cannot be swapped out at this time, so hopefully you took a good one.

Aw, I love that about dogs. They always seem so happy and energetic no matter how old they are.
Mine's still a puppy but I've met pretty old dogs that still have a lot of play in them.
And oh jeez I'm so bad at manners. I'm Jake English. It's nice to meet you!
I go to the university in town. I'm thinking about going into zoology or something like that.
Oh and I'm 21! I like movies and tv shows... I'm pretty boring (lol)

This much is very true! Dogs are angels. We are truly blessed to have them.
Ah, a puppy! I remember when mine were just the same, it feels like just yesterday... What is their name? I am certain that they're adorable.
Not to worry! The pleasure is all mine, Mr. English.
Ah, I completed my bachelor's degree there only recently! Zoology seems like a fascinating field of study; I went into psychology as my pre-med major, myself.
I'm afraid I'm not much more interesting; I've taken a few years off in order to focus on volunteering and fundraising projects. I know that medical school isn't exactly anything to sleep on, but... People are in need now, and I cannot sit idly by and do nothing when it is within my power to help.
I am 24 years old, so that makes me just a bit older than you are.

Mine is named Evie! She's a good girl. Pretty energetic and affectionate.
I love dogs because it's hard to feel lonely around them you know? They're always so happy to see you.
But whoa psychology! That's pretty cool. What made you go into that out of curiosity?
For me I've just always liked animals so I thought it would be cool to study them.
You sound like a really great person, though, helping people like that. My dad used to give back a lot with charities and stuff. I should get more involved myself...
Oh yeah I'm 21! We're pretty close in age though.

Evie is an adorable name! Puppies are certainly a handful, but there's nothing quite sweeter than an affectionate one.
It is very true. I believe the world would benefit greatly if we all viewed each other the way dogs viewed us, but alas...
I wanted to potentially lay a foundation for social work if I decided not to go into medicine like the rest of my family. Human psychology is fascinating besides, and I enjoyed the coursework!
It's good to pick a field that you are passionate about. Are you enjoying your studies so far? How much more do you have to complete?
I do not know about being a great person; I am simply following my conscience. But it sounds like your father and I had similar ideologies, in that case.
If ever you would like an avenue to help, you are always welcome to any of the events I will be posting here! Just say the word and I'll be happy to send you an invite, Mr. English.

If only people were more like dogs... But I like people pretty well, too.
Oh yeah social work! Well, social work or medicine, you'd still be helping a lot of people with your work. I think that's really impressive, I mean, to want to do that with your life.
I'm enjoying everything so far! I'm only a couple of years in. So far my favourite thing is animal behaviour.
It's kind of like learning to 'talk' to animals you know? If you can understand what they're saying.
But sure thing, I wouldn't mind an invite sometime. Anyway, those parties are always easier if you have someone to talk to.

People are wonderful, to be sure... But dogs are more satisfying to cuddle up with after a long day, I think.
Thank you. That is ultimately what I wish to do most-- help people. Especially since I'm in an advantaged position to do so.
Ah, so it's almost like a linguistics course in itself. How impressive! Perhaps I can introduce you to Umbra and Pryna someday, and you can translate for me. While I understand them for the most part, I'm certain an expert perspective can only benefit my relationship with them in the long run.
That much is very true. I sometimes find myself hyper aware of how it feels to be alone in a crowded room once they're underway.

Cuddling up with a special someone is pretty nice. But I admit Evie is probably the sweetest girl I've cuddled before.
Oh man I'm not that good yet! But I know some behaviour stuff. Dogs aren't too bad since they spend so much time with us that they've learned how to communicate with us.
It'd be fun to meet them anyway. I can never pass up a chance to pet dogs.
I used to feel like that too. My dad would take me to parties and I mean I liked them? But it was always hard at first approaching people.
Even if I knew about them, it never felt quite natural for me.
