Oddly, profile pictures still cannot be swapped out at this time, so hopefully you took a good one.

But it's kind of nice talking to people in town.

Huh well maybe it's a local company? Though you'd think a closed beta would work better with more people from around the country at least.

Yeah but SM sites are always raving about how diverse and worldly they are.
Everyone being from one city is odd.
And doesn't actually do much for testing their network.

Hmm true. I'm trying to think of a good reason to base your trial in only one city.
Unless it's going to have different servers in states or cities? That seems annoying.
But if it's supposed to connect people locally maybe...?

That would get really restricting really fast if it was just local.
I have friends overseas that I talk to sometimes through facebook and I wouldn't really need another SM that I couldn't reach them on.
But I guess something local would be useful for like...ads?

Although there's already Craigslist.

Yeah I'm pretty glued to my twitter. I know plenty of people all over the world.
I wouldn't be able to keep up with them if I ha a restricted app.
Hmm, well, it'd be good for dating I guess? If you really don't want to deal with a LDR.

Between classes, my college class, and the newspaper...
Even if guys did asked me out.

I wouldn't know when to squeeze them in.

That's true. It's easier for me to say since I only have my classes to worry about.
But don't get too down about it. I mean, the no one asking you out part?
College is when everything really happens.

Like I say that fully aware of how stupid that is from me since I always get worked up over it...
But yeah the fall will be here before you know it. Are you excited?

Yeah.
It's always been sort of strange when other girls get all worked up over it.
I mean sure some boys are cute.
But nothing that makes me squeal like they do or talk about someone for hours.
I mean, if it works for them, or you, that's...I don't know. Right for you.

Sometimes.
Other times it's all rather terrifying really.

Haha, no don't let boys fool you.
They're pretty girl crazy, too. They just try to act cool around girls.
But nah it didn't come out wrong. I get it.
It's just how some people are you know?
I felt the same way though. I'm not usually a shy or nervous person but I was scared of college.
But it's pretty nice? The plus side is the only person you answer to is yourself.
The minus is... the only person you answer to is yourself.
Adulthood, man.

I'm not sure if I'll go live on campus or stay at home.
I applied to a bunch of places but haven't heard back yet for most of them.

That does sound nice, aside from, you know, being entirely responsible for myself.
I've made some mistakes that I needed bailing out of before, honestly.

Well campus is pretty nice! But I live in an apartment now so.
Still I enjoyed the campus life for what it's worth? It's easier to make friends that way.
But don't worry. I'll back you up if you need it!
I think the most important thing to learn is just time management...
That's what will screw you over the most.
